You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
this is my final entry, unlike most others. . .lol. I had to make it exxxtremely huge in order to hear all of the different things going on. But incase that doesn't work, I'll point out some minor details: 1. In the window, there are two big eyes looking suprised at the gigantic halloween spirit. 2. The kid is saying: DIE NON BELEIVER! 3. there is a sign above the door saying "NO candy here!!!" 4. There is a subway bus in the haloween spirits mouth.
Well i thought of these kids throwing eggs at a house and then go up to get candy... They walk away with candy in their hands, then it goes back to the old man and he says "Enjoy those laxatives" Quietly.
We Are the Itch you Cannot Scratch or, I couldn't tell which, Feels Like Fur
Haha, I knew that would cause some confusion, sorry. The title would be 'We Are The Ithe You Cannot Scratch,' the 'Feels Like Fur' was just a funny bit to call the link.
Like wow, seriously good stuff for a second appearance at these competitions. I am vastly impressed. With regards to Gantic's question in the thread re: Abstraction, this is one place where a title counts for a lot. What does it mean that the itch cannot be scratched? Why is it that the figures are apparently of people, doing people activities? This one also refused to sit right, agitating my thoughts until my head itched. An itch you cannot scratch indeed. I won't pretend I can read minds. I have no idea whether pedspog intended me to read this that way but that's what I ended up doing, whether by design or by an overactive imagination.
You are somewhat correct. My original intention was more of a metephorical one:
When you get an itch, theres a problem, how do you solve it? By scratching. In my artwork, those people, or figures, are causing the itch, or the problem. The hand reachting down is trying to relieve that 'itch,' but he cannot. 'The greatest issue of mankind is man itself.
I did not deserve to win, therefore I do not want the winning title, nor the merit.
