This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!
Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
Also, could you give me a link to an upload of a smaller version of your Pandora box thing so that I can post a picture in the winner's thread? Will post link to full res too, just~ Yes~ Please?
That would be useful in the future for posting winners in this thread as well. So if people have very large images, if you could provide a smaller version as well, that would be awesome!
Hey, fst6, you forget Cenere! It's been me, me, Cenere, Strop. Music, technology, night, boxes? I can't remember who won before that. There's s thread with the winners that I'll resurrect soon.
Thanks for judging Carlie. I'm glad to see everybody has been anticipating this so much. From this point on I will be running and judging the competition for some period of time (how long I dunno)- during which I of course won't be elegible to win, but will still participate.
Since we've been getting many more entries and the standard and variety has increased greatly, there are going to be some changes to the judging.
* There will still be (for now), one grand winner who gets a merit.
* However I will nominate several categories, where applicable, and give special recognition to particular entries. Such categories may include: Technique and Quality, Done Entirely in MS Paint, Most Lulz, Epic Win Reference, Just Plain Random or Dishonorable Mention (i.e. what Klaushouse would have gotten for his 'box' entry, haha.)
* Also if you would like constructive criticism on your entry you may say so, and I'll do my best to give feedback. It goes without saying that others are free to do the same, as has always been the case.
