It is recommended that you drink at least 1 glass of water every hour during the daylight hours every day.
The reason for this is because when you start to fell you're mouth get dry, and you are thirsty, then you are already dehydrated. So that's why you want to drink water even when you're not thirsty, in fact, you don't WANT to drink water when you're thirsty because you don't want to be thirsty. Also when you get to the point of dehydration/being thirsty, it is un healthy and very wearing on you're body.
It's funny, you need water to live but too much can kill you. Sort of a balancing game. But, I drink a lot of water, but not bottled water, I'm not spending $1-5 on a bottle of water.
