Hey, I don't know if any of you out there have cameras in school, but our district is considering putting cameras in. Personally, I think cameras in schools are a double- edged sword. ON one hand, they will help with drugs and people breaking school codes and other laws. On the other, it is an invasion of people's privacy, and the stoners will just go into the bathrooms to conduct business. What does the body of AG think?
I know all the opinions of every side(I know people on every side of the issue), but as I am home schooled, I don't really have an opinion. It's really hard to have an opinion on something that doesn't effect me.
Well, there is much controversy about kids putting these tapes on YouTube... But again, I really can't have an opinion...

if you don't have an opinion on the subject, why would you feel the need to post in this thread?
also, we apparently have cameras in my school. i'm not sure if they keep them running. I have no problem with them, but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone getting caught doing something wrong through the cameras. I think they might turn them on at night and during the summer to stop people from breaking in. I don't think cameras help much as far as keeping people from doing bad things in the hallways. the teachers and security guards are much more efficient for that.
If put in the right places it isn't really a invasion of privacy, and no matter what the camera's would help prevent random fist-fights. Since they can happen literally ANYWHERE.
