I want to try to bring together the guitar players of AG, because every one knows guitars are awesome.

Please type how long you've been playing, the type of guitar you play(electric, classical e.t.c.), the brand/brands of your guitar, and the model type (e.g. Gibson SG).

I'll go first

Amount of time I've played: 6 years

Type of guitar I play: Electric, Classical, Brazilian, Spanish, Flamanco, Jazz, and Acoustic

My guitars: Gibson Faded Explorer, Epiphone SG, Fender Stratocaster, Ibanez Acoustic Guitar, Strunal Classical Guitar, Yamaha Flamanco guitar, and a Yamaha Travel Guitar.

I meant the acoustics that can use an amp, but if you get one the amp isn't necessary to play.

For an acoustic I suggest getting an Ibenez.

It is a good acoustic, it has a great sound and that's about all there is that makes a good acoustic.

Let's see, I have played for 6 years.
I got me a nice Line 6 Spider 3 amp, and I play electric, acoustic and classical.
I've been classically trained by professionals, so I lean towards classical as my prodominate music playing.

I have an Ibanez shark...(The one with 4 EMGs, not 2)
Fender American Stratocaster.
Epiphone Hummingbird (Beautiful :P)
Hohner classical
and a Cordoba classical revolution series (weird Spanish brand, but definately quality.)

Acoustic guitars are prettyhard to pick. I would NOT suggest an Ibanez, mostly because of the body make up. I would, however, suggest a Takamine. They are one of the bigger names in acoustic guitars, but for a good price.

Well I have only played a few Ibanez acoustics, but the ones that I have played have been very nice.

Well if you get one then make sure to ask if you can try the guitar out, you may not be able to tell how good it is since it will be your first, but always play them before you buy one.

I probably have to rack up some money first though. How much does it cost?

It will depend on where you go but you can get one for roughly 200-300 dollars.

That's a pretty good deal.
Nylon or steel string?

You can get a steel string for about the same price as some nylons so it could be either, it was an estimate so if you get a really good one it will be more.

You will need at least 20 pics. You will lose them :P And they cost like nothing.

Nylons are classical guitars usually. Acoustics that you here in mainstream music are mostly steelstring.

Now for real quality, you will need at least 600. Since you're a starter, 200-300 is good to start out with.
