I want to try to bring together the guitar players of AG, because every one knows guitars are awesome.
Please type how long you've been playing, the type of guitar you play(electric, classical e.t.c.), the brand/brands of your guitar, and the model type (e.g. Gibson SG).
I'll go first
Amount of time I've played: 6 years
Type of guitar I play: Electric, Classical, Brazilian, Spanish, Flamanco, Jazz, and Acoustic
My guitars: Gibson Faded Explorer, Epiphone SG, Fender Stratocaster, Ibanez Acoustic Guitar, Strunal Classical Guitar, Yamaha Flamanco guitar, and a Yamaha Travel Guitar.
well, as said before, Ibanez Acoustic guitars are cheap, good, and sold at pretty much any guitar store that sells Ibanez guitars. Picks don't matter as much as your guitar; just pick what feels best in your hand. = )
@firetail_madness It good that your thinking about it before you actually buy a guitar, because I know a kid who said he liked guitar, bought a guitar, and never used it. So really think before you buy one. = )
Haha, in my music class is playing guitars right now, and it's soo easy. Of course that's coming from a guitar player, but... I've been playing for a little over a year now, I'll play any style really.
on advice for picks, or advice for guitars?
The hard, heavier picks are good for strumming because they won't bend...the light, thin ones are good for guitar solos. I prefer the hard picks myself.

I always thought it was the other way around, but I also prefer hard picks
ive been playin for only about a month, but its awesome. so far im just on a classical for now, but im not sure if im gonna continue with that or start going electric. hey, i know bass guitar players usually play with their fingers and not a pick, so for more experienced players, how different are the basic finger techniques between bass and classical?
