Zophia poked me to make a thread. I know this will die off quickly, but I guess I could just show off some work in progress, and what I have managed to do by combining MsPaint and GIMP.
The first one is the outline. It is done in MsPaint, since GIMP was acting up.
The next two is the coloured result, both coloured in GIMP (It was acting okay again) The difference is the outline. The upper one is with the original outline:
With this one I copied the outline and blured it. So the original outline is on top, the next layer is blured, and then the colour come:
The last one here is what I will think of as the conclusion. A gradient layer from GIMP, smudged out and adjusted, again with the smudge tool. The lazy solution, I know.
Work in progress, right? I do not know if I am going to make it any better.
This was ruining everything. He stared at the paper with undefined hate, hot the fibers sucked up the red liquid with a strong thirst. Good quality paper he had to admit through the upcoming rage and frustration. It could withstand a lot. But the drops were too many, creating a small puddle on the paper, mutilating the fibers, whisking out the lines. The picture under his dripping hand became mangled, the lines twisting and changing. Funny how easy it is to ruin something perfect, he thought to himself, looking tiredly at the black lines and the rest of his unfinished picture, the pencilart still visible from the neck down. Only the face was mauled, broken. The pencil could withstand the fluid, but the pen... The tool of correction was now being destroyed by something as ordinary as blood. His hand shook. Thoughts about using the blood came to his mind. Would that not hurt? a voice asked, but he ignored it, wiping the pen in a piece of paper, then pressing it against the cuts. The stream of blood had stopped for a bit, but the sudden stress of the tissue made it bleed again. The first line looked odd. The second as well. After a couple more, a picture formed, framed by drops.
I also like to use smudge on GIMP I just created my first GIMP image today. i would show it but I don't know how to put it here and whenever I try to make a link to photobucket either it doesn't work or it simply takes me to the photobucket homepage.
Wow 5 posts in a row Cenere. If it weren't for the fact that you posted art in 4 of them I would have thought you were spamming, but anyways I am liking the last couple of pieces you have submitted(not like I don;t like all of them anyways though)
