Obama deciding to use money from private Americans to buy television time before the world series in order to try to convince Americans to vote for him.

In the beginning of the final stage for the presidential election Obama and McCain agreed to only spend the public campaign money. However Barack Obama backed out of this agreement, causing him to have more money than McCain.

Personally I believe that this is a sign of arrogance on Obamas part,
it shows McCain will stick to his word no matter what, and Obama will say anything to just get elected.

Your opinions?

Arrogance? He's using money that people willingly donated to his campaign for that very purpose.

Sorry for the double post, but I forgot to add this:

It's sure as hell a better strategy than recycling the same old garbage that Palin seems to be spurting out of her mouth.

it shows McCain will stick to his word no matter what, and Obama will say anything to just get elected.

This is hardly a good example. He chose to receive public funding, and his campaign is obviously much better off because of it.

I'm not sure what you mean by private funding, that is money given from his supporters.

Also CholoKid, we cannot believe you unless you give proper citation. Where's this proof that you used the information from?

He had promised not to, but he did it anyway. Its not better, hes making desperate attempts towards not failing the inevitable fail.

Here, this talks about Obama opting out of the promise.

He did opt out of the promise; there's no denying that. But when he's 7 points ahead in the polls, you're trying to tell me that all the funding he has been receiving from anonymous donors has done nothing? All right then.

Obama is an arrogant, self- centered, Narcissistic hypocrite. We wasn't even born in America, he was born in Asia, so he shouldn't even be able to run fro pres.

This was settled months ago, in a court of law. Try to stay on topic at least?

I could've sworn that it was Obama's DAD that was born in Asia, where the couple moved to America and then gave birth to Barack. And yes, Pyro, this isn't about Obama in general, this is about the supposed scandal that he apparently "did".

Nevertheless it's a very clever move by Obama. Very disturbing for a lot of republicans though.

How is it clever?

I don't think it matters at all...it is neither clever or dumb. I mean, politicians always BS there way through things.

Well all i can say is that i hope to god Palin and friggin mc cain dont get elected.. It seems like another george bush entirely. Anyways so your saying that obama shouldn't use peoples money that they willingly gave to him to help him in his capmaign??? You realize that mc cain already did this by buying more advertizing and paying for events where he can holld rallies? rlly smart move on obamas part. to bad mccain wasn't on his ball game.

Has anyone else noticed that it looks like sarah palin is just trying to win a popularity contest?? Ive seen her debates and i cant trust her at all.
