I was wondering if any people have read the whole Bible? Personally I have only read bits but I wanted to know who has read it all and did it actually inspire you in life?
I have never read the bible and I'm Christian and probably never will read it
why
1.It hasn't been written by God him self 2.It won't make me happy or inspire my life and probably waste of my time 3.I'm really finding religion weird and confusing because if your in a religion your always gonna hate another religion and have wars with countries that believe in their religions 4.What I said on number 3 is true from the beginning religions have been fighting each other its like your brain washed to hate other people because they believe in something different 5.Your better off choosing what to believe in
I agree Mac the reason I asked this question is that I don't have a religion but am wanting to change the way I think and maybe if someone else was inspired it could inspire me, but i totally see your point.
Hoo boy that's a bag of worms. Traditional interpretations of Christian doctrine will tell you that the Bible asserts (repeatedly) that the text within is the word of God. Paul in the New Testament qualifies this by saying that those who have written these texts were directly inspired, that they are writing the God breathed word.
Whether this convinces you is an entirely different matter, of course! But it is something worth pondering if you're in a process of questioning your faith.

if I wasn't in a religion I would stay away from believing in a religion because that way no one will hate you, I see a lot of Muslims don't like being around with Christians together because they hate each other and most of my friend are Muslim but their parents are telling them not to hang around with us because we believe in a different religion
the way I see it if your not in a religion and you believe in God then you won't be hated by other religions

Haha,that's up to you, not anyone else. If you believe that believing in other gods is ok then it's ok withyou.
No i have not read the bible,but i have tried i dont have time.
I have read it all, not in a order but I have read it all(it was a long summer)I read the story of Jesus' life in order but that was about it. One that is really good is revelations, I definitely recommend that people read that one since it is so much deeper than the rest of the Bible, it uses a lot of metaphors like the butchered lamb symbolizing Jesus, and it tells about Jesus' return to Earth which is supposed to happen soon.

I have read the Bible all the way through, and I cannot believe that people do believe in god. Consider the entire old testament, for crying out loud. Look at the atrocities that were supposedly commanded by a loving God. I call BS.
