yet it sounds less hardcore than avenged sevenfold, or bullet for my valentine. Yup sure showed me.. Next time choose one of there better songs like die for metal.
PS. i listen to manowar also btw.... Its the behemoth, cannible corpse, job for a cowboy, growling horror shows that i cant stand. Sure the guitarist is great, and the drummer is amazing. But if you really wanted to start a band, take the horrible singer out. Because I can make my self choke on sumthing and sing at the same time too. This is why i like manowar, motley crue, guns n roses, avenged sevenfold, metallica, Bullet for my valentine, Atreyu, and even sometimes megadeth. They got great guitar, headlined by great vocals, and they even have some pretty sick drummers.. (the rev anyone?).
Avenged Sevenfold would have to be my favorite out of the two, which isn't saying much because they have only one song I can tolerate, whereas BFMV has none.
they have (had, RIP jimmy sullivan) a better drummer, guitarist, bassist
just because m. shadows doesnt also play guitar does not make him inferior, it in fact makes him a better frontman for live performances, where as matt tuck stands in the same location because he has to play guitar while singing, making live shows less entertaining
also a7x is much more versatile, they have screaming oriented songs, hard rock songs, and some softer songs, and some that incorporate all of the above elements, where as all of the bfmv kinda sounds the same
I prefer Avenged Sevenfold. For one thing, A7x's style has changed over the years(metalcore-nu metal, now it's kind of a hybrid of the two) while BFMV is just...i dunno what you'd call it. Hard alternative rock, I guess. And for another thing, Avenged Sevenfold's songs have a lot of meaning(a few examples, MIA is about war, Critical Acclaim is about hypocrisy, and God Hates Us...well, do you really need me to tell you?) while the majority of BFMV's songs are just emo lyrically. I'm not saying that BFMV is bad or that A7x is perfect, it's just that I prefer Avenged and that's a few reasons why.
