OK, This goes two way yes and no. Yes, because when we go to war we need supplies for the troops, so more factories start popping up, and more jobs appear. No because it risks American lives. Also it depends on the war. For it to be good for the economy it needs to be a huge country. Like Russia or China, mabye North Korea. Any other country we would crush and the war would be over in less than a year and factories would open then close.

Another Cold War would be nice.

You started to get it but the second part (the no part) i'm saying the war could back fire and instead of factories opening up they won't and we would loose money. because no one will take the war seriously. Like right now in Iraq. Instead of profit (cash) we our loosing money.

Look at world war 2. We started the war in the Great Depression and by the end of the war our ecomony was booming.

Ok, Stormchaser, listen why would you say flag because someone disagrees with you, I completely agree with theone99, wars are a waste of money and causes young men and women to lose their lives for what? because of some set up the government made to go to war with iraq because they want to make it free, I think we need to leave other countries alone and handle what's going on in our economy because while ours is going downhill other countries are becoming richer and benefiting off of this war while we are becoming further and further in debt and sure you don't think a 500million dollar airplane isn't a lot of money, think of how many homes and cars that could buy for people, they should be using that money for the growth of our economy, not some pointless war in a country where they don't want us, ex. "vietnam" in iraq it's the same way, just a second vietnam, they don't want us there so why not leave. Maybe because George bush is an idiot and brought us into this war.
