That is pretty funny! I would laugh if I was a moderator, and one of my moderator friends came to me saying, "Yea, I haven't been on because I 'Accidentally' banned myself"! No, I would probably do that too, your not alone in this world!

5 or 7

i do believe that a mod just found a loophole to one of the very important rules we have.

Strop actually let me in a modular (moderater I just felt like making a word into a word that means what I want it to...?) secret. He did in fact admit to me, that Mods do spam! He told me this after I had located a spam comment on a game left by CARLIE. It said something along the lines of "Good game! " and that was all it said. But they have their reasons. Which at the moment are unknown to me. But they do have them, therefor technically not breaking the rules.

Voidy told me he banned himself one day, but if "Nemo" did it, it's just even more fun^^
and thoad, you don't want to know... Well, that, and I don't want to tell because of what they have said will happen to me if I do...

Mod privileges ftw! We can spam a little, and people think we're funny. It's totally sweet.
Or something, I'm totally just kidding.

Of course they have done something wrong before! Nobody's perfect... Even I have spammed once or twice in the past!

*hears gasping from users' computers*

But yes, this was from the PAST, where I didn't know jack-diddly about AG, and it took a while before I got used to the fact that spam was annoying. Eventually I myself became an anti-spam crusader, vouched by a select few, and yeah, this is where I am today XD

Moderators have ban hammers, and we normal, everyday users have flag arrows where we guide mods where the spam are. =) Mine come in doubles. (Don't be like me)

Hypothetically if a mod was found to be either spamming or doing something heinous like having profanity in their about or abusing another player etc would their moderator status be taken away from them?

Hmmm must be nice to be a mod. It must be difficult being a mod right now with Christmas and all coming up. You must have to spend alot of time on AG to keep things running smoothly.

@Woody
I'm sure that they would have some sort of punishment. Doing that stuff would goo aginst the *rules of being a mod* or somthing like that.

If the condition was serious enough, and if the mod was doing it constantly, then yes. A moderator status isn't guaranteed permanent. They only get their status revoked if they resign or if the admins feel it is necessary to.

ok.

*hatches ingenious plan to provoke a mod to a verbal battle and watch as they get de-modded*

hehe thanks for the info.

Well, I would think that mods could be forgivin if what they did wasn't really bad. For instance, Zophia was banned for 3 days wayy before she was a mod.

If you ever visit the NewGrounds BBS, the Mods break the rules just as often as the regular users. But when they do it, it's called humor.

I'm pretty sure it would have some serious consequences if it was bad enough.
The point with mods are, we're selected partly because it is deemed unlikely by the great fortune of the Wheel of Moderation that we would flip out like that...

No way. I've never been banned. I've been away for a couple of weekends, but I have never been banned. Unless someone banned me while I didn't try to get on anyway? O.o
