Here in England there's already a sort of law that you can't talk/text on your phone while driving. Why don't they just use Bluetooth or the ear thing or connect their phone to their car.
well my parents have driven while talking once or twice but thats it i think if you do it only in a blue moon you might be alright but there is still a great risk of crashing if you do it. by the way my parents get me to pick up the phone if it rings now
I don't think people should be allowed to use a phone in any form. That includes blue tooth or any other form of hands free talking. You're still being distracted by the conversation even if you have both hands on the wheel.
pfft i can barely focus when i have to roll up a window while i'm driving i don't even wanna try picking up my cell 'cause with my luck i'd end up plowing into a school bus full of children
There has been a "hands-free" law for some time now. You can still use a cell phone, but you need to have a hands-free device, which is defined by the fact that you should have both hands free while operating the device.
There is also a strict ban on texting while driving, although I've never heard anyone get caught doing that.
I don't think it's a good thing. I can't even do it; I refuse to by a hands free set & I drive a stick shift, so it's not really possible. I support legislation against it, including the hands free stuff. Drivers don't need additional distractions.
