Nope. There's a good chance you're bisexual or just bicurious, but when you really don't know it would be caused by being uncertain of the preference, thus not outright being gay.
It's also a high probably that if you have girls for friends, you are probably gay.

Ever heard the term 'metrosexual'? Has nothing to do with actual sexuality, but is used about guys who care a lot about their appearance. It doesn't make them gay.

I'm just laughing at the assumption being made that gay = male homosexual. As was pointed out several times gay can also equal female homosexual. Not all girls are "just" bisexual. And male bisexuals exist.
For most people you can't know what you really are until you hit puberty and usually even then you aren't sure.

I love how everyone takes this so personally. As much as I would love to spend all day educating people on the real world, I will keep this short.
My first post was done in a joking manner, stop taking everything I say verbatim. Stereotypes exist because the majority of people follow them. Every time my black friend sits down with a plate of fried chicken, slice of watermelon and a glass of kool-aid, I tell him to stop being such a stereotype. Stereotyping people by saying that all **** are **** is what you would find wrong because not everyone does follow this. BUT the majority do.
Metrosexuals are straight guys who are coping gay guys. Not quite sure that falls into my example, but once again, just because a small percent doesn't stay in the lines, doesn't make the statement untrue.
MOST gay men do not act until they are much older. Most have girlfriends in high school and marry and have kids. Then years later they will relies they are just doing what everyone wants them to do and they will some times go off and explore their true feelings.
MOST straight men do not have "just friends" who are girls because they will either be sexually attracted to them and want more, or there will not be a connection at all. The reason relationships work is because you and your partner get along. If you want to call this a friendship, then you have relations, you're not using the right word.
MOST men will get up in the morning and pick something out of their wardrobe to ware based on formality only. Every guy I know can pull out a shirt blind and ware it. If you take an hour to style your hair or you just can't decide what kind of shoes go with your outfit. Then you are demonstrating female qualities often found in gay men.
MOST men, if asked will not know if another guy is attractive or not. Because they aren't gay.

Most end up looking at that kind of pictures when looking in underwear catalogs... And huh. I don't have any arguments to back it up with, but I doubt that most are really bisexual. Bicurious, I'll believe many are, but that is different... >_>
Maybe in past generations. But nowadays people are coming out younger and younger which is why we seeing a rise in disease in young gay men. Sure you will always have those from repressed backgrounds but in general young people are not waiting to come out anymore. In fact high schools are permitting the GSA, the gay straight alliance, in more and more high schools. Some but certainly not most in young people at least.

I really have to disagree. First off you say the majority. Do you have a lot of gay friends or are you basing that off tv or what? Because I spend most of my time with the gay community. Groups, clubs, except for immediate family and work I'm only really around gay people. Saying the majority of gay guys are flamers and the majority of lesbians are bull dykes or is not only incorrect but kind of offensive. It's certainly not the majority. It's what is presented to the media certianly.

Once again the problem I have a problem with is the word most. I have never met a straight girl who was turned on by a picture of a naked woman. Not a bi woman but woman who says straight. While I'm sure there are a lot of truly bisexual men and woman I don't see it as being a great deal of the population.
Most people who define themselves as straight watching porn, male and female, prefer straight porn. I read a study that said that somewhere and would be happy to find info on it. The point being that half the time they are looking at a member of the same gender in a sexual way. And are in no way gay or showing gay tendencies.
I also do not see how looking at porn makes you anything. Looking and touching is a completely different thing. Being curious and getting aroused is also different.
I relies that my sample may be tainted as I can not make referances to the homosexual community in your area. I can say that in my area, schools and work place, my examples are true, and most of the time were I get it from.
Right now, there is this weird Mohawk type hair cut. I'm sure you know or have seen it. Looks like a Hershey kiss with highlights. Almost every guy guy I know now has that hair cut. So cant you make the assumption that all men with this cut are gay? This is stereotyping. Before it was the earring in the right ear. This was just something that was common knowledge in my area. The same reason why Thursday is Gay day. That has backgrounds with the forgive for my sins Friday though.
You know you are homosexual when you like a person of the same gender as you. It has nothing to do with personality, behavior, or anything - it's a chemical reaction.
It's natural. They have always existed, just that people would lock them up and burn them down if they would speak up in the old days. And there are still so many people that would do the same.. it's shameful.

It's just like racism, i actually find it even more sick (call me racist) when black people want to forbid gay people - and are against racism. Racism is white people hating people different from them, homophobia is exactly the same. The same goes to white people against racism.

* Therefore there is no need to make or assume any defence of or criticism against homosexuality in this thread. So what if you're gay or not?
* It's true that it's hard to tell jesters from morons. On the other hand if you're making the rant then you have the problem. This means that since there is a reciprocal spat going on, both parties "have a problem".
* If knowing whether you are homosexual or not really matters to you, give it a try and find out!

You can make it but you'd almost certainly be wrong. Since stereotypes are generalisations and not rules, obviously. I presume you know this, and will go on to say that it's true that there are cultural movements within the gay community, so at least on a local level, your claims would be more valid.
