To anyone who wants to be an ArmorGames Moderator: Answer me two questions. Why do you want to be a Moderator and if you were chosen, what are some of your ideas/suggestions for bettering(is that a word?) the ArmorGames Community?
Especially when someone else jumps in front of you and you know what happens next...
And you know, sometimes people don't like getting banned. So there is always the danger of them trying to attack back. But, in the end, we have the more sophisticated tools to bring down offenders.
What do you do to the spam? Is locking threads like a minigame?

Has a mod ever been stabbed in the back and been ttteeerrrrrmmmiinnnaattteeeddd???

The dreaded..... IP BAN!!! GASP! Yeah, that owns. What happens if the threads break lose from the jail? What if there is some sort of riot or jailbreak? That would be the end of AG, wouldn't it. If AG was a religion, that would be the apocalypse. Now I'm scared....
Well, good to know that we are all safe. Meanwhile, what are the odds of a regular user becoming a mod? I have seen the "how to become a mod" thread, but how often is a mod really picked? I guess I shouldn't get my hop up, but...
(The entire posts on this thread are so hilarious. I had to join in on the fun.)

All of the moderators started out as 'regular users'. On average, a moderator is chose about every few months I suppose. But we don't really time it out. When we think there is someone who would make a good moderator, then we ask them to be one. But we only ask when we feel someone is ready, not because we are trying to get to a particular number.
I thought it was something like that. @Fyrefox, more than half of those are inactive or ghosts, so only if they somehow made a good mod that never came on. Well, I should go and eat some pie. Pie! So yeah, my wanting to be a mod goes like this: if it did cost $20, I would pay it. And if it was a choice between me and another person, I would say "go with who you think would make the best mod." And if a mod spot was up for grabs, and who asks for it with the best reason gets it, I wouldn't ask.
Usually all things a newcomer might need to know are in the Newcomer's Forum, so hopefully, this helps you. Also it would be best for everyone here if you asked that question on the appropriate thread(s). But that's okay for now. =)
To be a moderator is a great title, but as Uncle Ben said in the first spiderman "With great power, comes great responsibility". Which in retrospect means, don't ask to be a moderator, the other moderators will let you know, so in the meantime, set a good example for the new commers to Armor Games.
