Parallel Universes, do you think they're real? Why or why not? Do you have proof to support your claim?

I personaly think that they are real, but there's proably only 2-3 including ours.

I don't feel that they are real in the physical sense. I believe the idea of a parallel universe is just a way to explain a metaphysical and/or quantum concept.

For me, I really don't think that is possible. A universe contains EVERY SINGLE THING created, and then some. It expands, making traveling to each celestial body even more lengthy. If you took a ship that could travel a million light years a second, you would still be traveling slow. If there really is an "end" to the universe, then you will still be traveling, but you will just be traveling in nothingness, just space, without the sparkle of stars. Plus in another 1000 or so years, what you considered an "end" to the universe will be taken up by the farthest object you encountered on this journey, because of course, the universe is expanding.

Make sense? Yay, or Nay?

Well, the idea of a parallel universe is, as Parsat said, used in a metaphysical sense. Anything that can happen, will happen, and it that is where the theories of alternate timelines/parallel universes come into play. I don't know enough about metaphysics to say anymore, but it is a very compelling subject.

The link will be fine without the url bbCode. Just paste the link as is, and we will still be able to
click on it. And what's this about a tenth dimension?

I didn't see the vid, so sorry if this is what it was about. But I believe Steven Hawking did research and said that one extremely compelling idea about this, is if they exist do to the physics of black holes, they are proably a &quotassage" to them.

String theory. The stuff's deep. I've studied it a lot casually in my physics class and I don't understand it still, even though I'm generally pretty good with conceptual stuff.

But, basically physicists have theorized that in order for the universe to be made up of what it is currently known/theorized to be made up of, ten or more dimensions need to exist. It's a lot more complex than that, but extremely compelling. I highly recommend looking into it.

Look up TED online. If you're really into conceptual physics, there's a ton of videos you can watch.

the tenth dimension fits in with string theory and M-theory explaining how the big bang came to be

i like the idea

In the physical world I don't think there are. However in the theorectical world it may be possible. So believe that the Brumuda Triangle to be a parallel Universe, or even a Blackhole on Earth. Some people that the triangle is actually a worm hole to another universe. These things maybe ture, but they may also not. But until now no one has proven otherwise as to their difinitive exsitance or just theortical concepts....

Yeah, I believe that there are worlds within our minds, that is how we dream. the experience we have in a dream is purely true event of someone or thing in our mind, not just imagination.

i think there might be parallel universes.. and i dont think there will be just one or two. there might be hundreds or thousands or maybe even an infinite amount of universes.
