They were crook officials. They only released him because they wanted him to lead them to his secret abode which was abundant in golden sporks encrusted with diamonds and rubies. As he made his way home oblivious of the oppositions evil plans he happily skipped through a garden of daises hen suddenly.....
He went to prison for 3 years but he discovered gold there, gave it to the officials and they let him go, but...
