Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's as simple as that, just like orion said (only I said it longer). I have plenty of Christian friends, and when I say I'm agnostic usually they have no idea what I'm talking about and just don't worry about it. I love it when people don't care about other's opinions in the sense that they'll aggressively argue with you about it unprovoked.
One of my favorite sayings is "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'm just here to tell them their opion is wrong." Not that I actually do that.
Alright well I'm getting off. My final thing to say is it was great debating with the two of you tonight, and there's no way to prove there is or isn't a god.
I think theres a philosophy theory and a branch of philosophy that deals with the idea of the existence of God. But I guess it's just what you believe, God, the Big Bang or both, it really does not matter. ( Not to me anyway!)
So nich, are you saying you don't really care about believing anything? 'Cuz that's cool, I'm similar to that idea, just sometimes believe in both. Usually I just say I'm agnostic and leave it at that, but sometimes it leads into the debate about the Big Bang.
Orion we've already had this discussion on 2 threads I think, but if you really want me to start talking about it again, I will. I think some higher power, not necessarily God, just something that was higher up than everything else, started the Big Bang, and just let things happen how they did.
string theory is the theory that everything is made up of strings of energy and each different type has a different vibration this fits into the 11 dimensions theory vid to the 10th dimension which fits into M-theory that there are also even smaller membranes that are actually parallel universes and each time one of these collide a big bang happens very very often
