How can you prove that there is no God.

Ya I never really accepted the whole string theory thing. Sounds like too much happening to be true, but if they do prove it with solid evidence to be true, then I'll admit I'm wrong, because I probably am, along with everyone else. I don't think anyone is really right about how the universe started so we get to believe what we want.

Umm...Where did M-Theory come from? I mean, we never were discussing it in the first place. What happened to our discussion about God?

along with everyone else

Try not to generalise to others.

Anyway the problem I have with "God" is that I haven't seen any evidence for him. The bible is evidence for himin the way that Gullivers Tale is proof of Liliputians. On the other hand there is evidence of the Big Bang like CBM etc. and I'm sure evidence for all the String theory business will be found.

Well I wasn't trying to generalize, just saying that I don't think that anyone has hit the answer on the head yet.(Or whatever the saying is)

I must have misread it then and I apologise sincerely. And I love that saying. How many theists on here actually "found" god themselves or where you christened (/insert religious ritual) at a young age and raides to believe that.

I don't know, I don't think as many people are getting..

christened (/insert religious ritual) at a young age
anymore because religion isn't as important as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, it's still important to people who are religious, it's just that the Church doesn't rule the government like it did in medieval times.

I got born into an agnostic family, and became a specific kind of agnostic, by which I mean I developed my own beliefs that can't be proven...yet...

Ok correct me if im wrong but does agnostic mean that you think its impossible for a God to exist?

An agnostic is someone who doen't believe in God because they haven't seen any proof. They do not deny him (a la Atheist) butdon't believe in him yet.
