Recently on T.V. I saw news about Nadya Suleman, the mother of octuplets. Later, I saw an interview about the whole situation and she is unemployed and on welfare. She also has 6 other children. Even before she had the octuplets, she was unemployed and on welfare.
What are your thoughts on this?
For me, I think that she is downright irresponsible. She wasn't even out of college yet, but she continued to have children. Could she possibly have a mental problem? Why would you want to have a bunch of children when you know that you cannot support them? What kind of example would this set for the kids? Isn't it bit selfish? From a Catholic prospective (me being a catholic I decided that I might address this, If you are an Aethiest or do not believe in God, you don't have to respond to this part if you don't want to.) Nadya said that she thought that these children were a gift from God, yet she had conceived these children through in vitro fertilization and from my understanding she had a fertility issue. If she had a fertility issue in the first place, why would the children be a gift from God? So was she really meant to have these babies? Or was it just our human technology playing that made it possible?
This reminds me of a case some years ago here in DK. A couple were having a child, and had a lot of support from the government, as they were poor, and seemingly "mentally ill" or something. They had the child, but was unable to take care of him, being more concerned about themselves than the baby. The support could not do much but try and make them take care of the child, since they could not take the child away before after a period of time, even though the child sunk into depression. But at last the child was taken away. The parents then had another child, still not fit for parenting, but this child was not instantly removed either.
I think she must be sick for going to have more kids, when it's completely obvious that she is incapable of raising them or supporting them. It's near impossible for her to do it was with the 6 kids. I think a person would realize that 1 they don't have money, 2 they are single, 3 they already have enough kids.
Something must be wrong with her, or she is one of those morons that thinks that she will get rich from endorsements and media attention. The world isn't going to give her anything, except acknowledgment of her stupidity.
this lady has some serious problems. she needs a cat scan or a pych evaluation. She lives at home with her mother no husband with now 14 kids. She will never get married becasue no guy will touch that. She did this for publicity to tryign to get a show like john and kate kid with their 8 kids. Her kids should be sent to familes that can actully take care of them

Just what I said. Poeple are trying to take advantage of these types of experiments and laws....I can see it now, in a few years, she'll be on Nancy Grace/CNN explaining how she lost all eight of them to the government.
