This package is going to help cause our economy crash and burn, it is going to put it in a bigger deficit because it is money that we do not have.
And plus, most of it is going towards useless stuff and Liberal organizations (like planned parenthood) that Obama wants to help out because he likes them, even though half the people being forced to give money to them don;t like them.
Only 5% is going towards creating new jobs. But of course the media is not telling people that >.<

More funding for planned parenthood and other similar means more accidental pregnancies prevented through REAL sex education, better access to emergency contraception such as Plan B, and better guidance counseling for expecting mothers. which means more people graduating from high school and less people on government welfare and other forms of government support.
this topic gives me a head ache...the plan Obama has might work out..we dont know the details of the plan or what he believes will happen with all the money his putting into the stimulus. so what im trying to say that only Obama sees how spending the money would help the economy and everyone has their own oppinion so they wont see Obamas plans the way he does... plus this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better...

Same here, Obama MUST make this plan work. Even if I am Republican he still needs to revive the US economy. He is president and since the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 has been passed, there is not much that can be done to prevent him from taking action. Anyway I agree with Ricador, most of the money is not being spent to restore jobs. Now I am clueless on what else to say, since I do not have any idea if the package will work.
Also, if the package is going to be dropped some more say, 200B dollars then it might go to good purposes because the amearican people (hopefully) will not let it all go to stupid crap.
