First of all, the black population only makes up 12% of the US, so they did not win the election for him. Second, the debt is to the taxpayers, not the Chinese. The Chinese did NOT pay for the stimulus. How stupid could you get? Thirdly, Obama is our smartest president since Clinton, who was documented as being the smartest president IQ-wise. He put himself through Harvard Law., and he is a Ph. D. law doctor. So really, he is Dr. President Obama.

Not this, it's a waste of money I don't see how it's going to do anything and right now we need a short term fix not long term one right now. In a couple of years this might not have been so bad. Also we could have simply cut back on programs like welfare until this was over.
What the conservatives in Congress in general don't seem to understand is that the carrying out of a lot of these pet projects need jobs to be executed. The 30 billion for highway construction, for example, will create hundreds of thousands of jobs in AMERICA, AND we will get something out of it. The contraceptive research will create jobs with laid off doctors, and the clean coal project will create a few hundred thousand jobs. The politics of the stimulus is not important, it's doing something.

We've been getting "short term fixes" from the Bush administration for eight years. All those stimulus checks? That's exactly what they were, and they didn't do anything.

Yes cut back on the very thing keeping many on the relative poverty line alive. That would go down well. The US doesn't even give that much welfare. Come to the UK then complain about it.
What's the point having a short term fix? Why not fix the problem indefinitely?
Like I said before, basic macroeconomics. The multiplier effect. It should shift aggregate demand and supply to the right, increase the real output of the US and bring it closer to trend growth and hopefully positive output.
