The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. It's my all time favourite book series. It follows the misadventures of Arthur Dent, the last living man, his friend Ford Prefect, who turned out to be from a small planet somewhere in the vicinity of betelgeuse, and not from Guildford after all, fugitive president of the galaxy Zaphod Bebelbrox, the depressed android Marvin, and a rather nice girl called Trillian Arthur once met at a party and totally failed to get off with. Together, they meet strange beings, discover lost worlds, and discover the answer to life, the universe, and everything. But will Arthur be abld to get a nice cup of tea?
I started digging into a complete collection of tales and poems by E. A. Poe. Haven't gone far yet, but I already knew the poem The Raven. Also, it seemed like a reasonable next step after reading that Poe had some influence on H. P. Lovecraft.
The Complete Adventures of Charlie and Mr. Willy Wonka by Roald Dahl. Nearly finished it. Next time I go to the library I wish to find some good book, some fantasy book, a murder-mystery, detective book or a horror-but-not-too-scary book.
I'd so want to find a cool vampire story. What makes me the most sad is that I couldn't find one of my favourite comic artists' works from there although I was sure that I'd seen them there before... Oh, Iznogoud...
