Governments should spend more on nuclear fusion and less on wind farms and solar stuff if we want to make an impact.
I read once..the reason they don't invest in Nuclear Fusion is because in can't be located near home (we are getting more populated everyday) and people need area to live. It also said that if we invest in Nuclear Fusion there could possible be an increase in terrorism damage. Unstable nuclear waste + bomb = Mushroom Cloud. If there was a way we could some how make the waste and nuclear material stable...it should work out.
Agent 86 you are so funny... -.-
I caught the sarcasm. >.>
Does it really matter if we turn off for one hour and really how many people are actually going to do it. Big cities require on all of the electricity to keep functioning.
Even I'm starting to get confused. Fusion doesn't make lots of nuclear waste does it. So it is alot safer. Their is a nuclear fussion plant right in the middle of I think Seoul as part of the research into it.
Nuclear fission is becoming safer but fusion yields much more energy if we can get it working properly. but as stated in the article below we are finding it hard to get the necesary temperatures. After all fusion combines hydrogen to make helium and anyone who has inhaled from a helium ballon will know hgelium isn't dangerous.
yeah power plants produce more electricity than is needed so there isn't a black out so by not using power the power plants will still produce the electricity but it will just go to waste so turning off your power for an hour has no effect at all
I'm turning on every light in my house, my computer, and my HDTV just for that hour if only to mess with the heads of the ninny Libs that run Cali.
I know, so am I dude
I am going to drain energy in every way possible during that hour. And then afterwords my dad and my friend and his dad are going out in a hummer until we have burned a whole tank of gas. We are just going to drive around aimlessly
In my country, they are forcibly imposing Earth Hour upon me. So, they will shut down the power grid and I cannot do much about it. Anyway, for me Earth Hour is in 14 hours.
I'm doing all I can during earth hour... which is in 11 hours...
11 hours. Hope you have a good Earth Hour. Where I am staying, it is terribly hot. I may be sweating heavily during Earth Hour due to the heat. I hate the heat!
