I was just wondering when to flag a comment on a game? Should I flag it when it is just a one word answer like "cool" that is obviously just written to get AP or is flagging only for something that is offensive?
Flagging is for all spam or offensive comments. So you should flag short comments, comments with profanity, advertising, that are offensive in nature, etc. Basically, any comment that violates the rules of the site can be flagged.

Basically, it's like a whole smorgasbord of spam-reporting delectability!
I just flagged this guy yesterday. Apparently he posted comments on his profile to gain points. Like 8 comments. And they were monosyllabic or really short, like 'Hi to myslef', 'Lol!','Eh?', that sort of thing. It pretty irritating, that someone would get points based on that kind of thing. I won't want to reveal that it was Blooloot, so I won't tell you his name. Oops... Dang...
One things for sure, this post won't get flagged. Muhahaha!.
Alright thanks, that's what I already do. I was just wondering if me flagging all the "cool", "great", "good", etc. was helpful or not.
Yep! It sure is! =) That is how we get rid of a lot of those types of comments. So the more they are flagged, the more we can get rid of them.
Yes! It is. It helps out mods when they look in that weird database thing I keep hearing that shows all the flagged comments. Easier to find them. might flag a few things too now...

Unfortunately, not many people actually flag comments. =(
If it takes more than one person's flag to get a comment noticed (which it shouldn't), then those 40 pages of game comments were flagless, or flagged once by some person that noticed it. If only there was some way to join forces with people that actually care and have a Spam Awareness Day, AKA S.A.D., then maybe flagging would have a use.
I even made a small organization based on just flagging. It works; those comments we flagged were all gone, and it only needed to take more than one person, so why not "articipate"? While your game is loading, take the time to flag those comments down at the bottom or something. It doesn't take too much to do.
Oh dear, listen to me ramble on and on about the same thing I try to attempt. Well, glad you're doing that, we need more people like you. =)
