On the news, in washington it is illegal to own a gun. I think they should be allowed I mean Murderers are going to be able to get them anyway they're always black markets for them but what about the citizens who can't pro tect them selves???
I'm not sure it's illegal there. They were trying to pass laws to limit gun ownership because of the high crime rate, but the Supreme Court says "no." Either way, the Court seems to be in the midst of reinterpreting the law, giving emphasis to gun ownership to the individual, rather than a collective whole. On the surface, it seems like it's the same thing, but the legal ramifications of this could be pretty substantial. Suffice it to say, I think guns are here to stay in the U.S.
Uh, I don't think Washington has made guns illegal. The constitution includes "the right to bear arms" therefore, making gun owning illegal ANYWHERE in the US, is a violation of our rights. Therefore, Washington CAN'T make guns illegal.
Now that we have that truth out of the way, I believe gun ownership should be legal everywhere, and all kinds should be legal. Pistols (including silenced ones), SMGs, shotguns, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles...
The only kind of gun I think should be illegal, is a SILENCED sniper rifle. If people had silenced sniper rifles, murder would be too easy to get away with.
I know that it's legal to sell and buy some kinds of assault rifles, because there are versions of a lot of them, that only include semi-auto. It's also legal to sell and buy the parts necessary to mod those rifles to bring back their full auto, as long as you don't buy/sell it at the same time. Also, last time I checked, Uzis are still legal. And, Silenced Pistols are legal if you apply for a special license, and pay some heavy taxes.
When I come of age, I want my first piece to be a Desert Eagle. Then a Beretta 92fs or two, a Silenced Pistol, a full-auto M16, an Uzi, a pump-action shotgun of any big brand (preferentially Remmington), a six-shooter, and a Sniper Rifle with a detachable silencer (even though I think silenced sniper rifles should be illegal.)
As much as I support gun ownership, I strongly believe that people should be able to CHOOSE if they want to have one or not. People should NOT HAVE to carry a gun if they don't want to. If you believe we should force people to carry guns, I believe you should take that gun you want to be forced to carry so bad, and shoot YOURSELF with it. I've met people who want to arm children... CHILDREN, I'm talking 5 and 6 year olds, with guns. I wasn't sure if I wanted to laugh or throw up.
Arm children 5-6 years old WTF!!!! Why the kid would probley end up killing his family or freinds, and more so injure or kill himself.... WTF man......

So I assume that you would practice useing a gun unlike some fools who buy one and say there pro's... (Then end up shooting themself or the sourrandings)

Ya, but a rifle, pistol, shotgun, and black powder rifle (or pistol) all have a very different feel. I agree with you on your point that you don't need an RPG to hit a BB gun target, though.
