On the news, in washington it is illegal to own a gun. I think they should be allowed I mean Murderers are going to be able to get them anyway they're always black markets for them but what about the citizens who can't pro tect them selves???
Well it does make pretty good sense. Or you could just get some house security, but I'm not sure if those are 100% dependable. But a bat, or maybe a yo-yo (if you ever saw that one thread a really long time ago) would protect you. Plus, kids will get curious with guns, and we don't want that.
Keep in mind that its the PARENT'S fault if they don't use the right precautions in owning a firearm. I've been around them all my life. Learned to shoot at 3, was shooting at competitons in my early teens...Its in the home enviroments that breed the attitudes towards people and things like firearms.
If everyone had a gun, no one would try to kill anyone else, rob a house, or rape someone.
Switzerland has one of the highest gun ownership rates, yet one of the lowest murder rates in the world. If everyone owns a gun, that does not mean everyone can start killing wildly. It means people will stop killing because they will get killed too.
What about the Amendment :the right to bear arms? I guess our founding fathers didn't know how far this would really go. Besides... who, in the right mind, wants to own a bazooka hanging in their garage? I"ll tell you who, ME.
Its one of the main rights of the constitution, and yes they can get them off the black market. If some gangster threatens to pop a cap in me I want to be able to pull out a shot gun.... And the fact maney people like to hunt. Another and, the main reason that it was put into the constitution was the fact that they didn't want the govornment to become opresive... If they happen to become oprisive, the guns whould allow militias to form.
It is wrong to own A gun. No one should own A gun. I have three and I still feel a bit lacking...

Canada it's hard to get handguns, and most of those with long guns live in the country. The people with illegal guns here in canada usually only kill those with other illegal guns, these are gang wars. Its only the gangs members who are worried about guns because they are the only ones who shoot at each other.
My family dosen't own any guns because we don't need them. But my friend whos dad is a cop has a lot of guns (I think most of them are not at his house though). I think last years he said his dad got an Ak 47 for work. I am really into guns and other weapons, (just look at my profile) but I don't think I will ever get one.
