Really? Domestic burglary is down 3% from last year. The knife crime fiasco is mainly in London and it has pretty much always been going on. It's only since youths have become increasingly more involved it has made the headlines.

NO IT IS NOT what kind of weapon do most gun owners have, SEMI. OK lets say we took every single gun owner (leagally) in america and asked which ones had an automatic weapon i would say probably 1/200 would stand up. its probably even higher than that
I dont think theres anything wrong with a semi-auto pistol. But you dont really need to own anything bigger. A single shot works fine for hunting. And if you real want to fire a semi-auto rifle or shotgun you should still be able to use them in a firing range.
But of course they are important in the treatment of LDC syndrome.

i'm a gun owner i have a couple of little Walther .380 semi-auto handguns, a hand cannon that fires .30-06 rounds, a single action colt .45 and a couple other revolvers plus some hunting rifles plus i'm gonna get this tommy gun i saw for sale but other than that i don't feel the need to have a fully automatic weapon its retarded using an assault rifle or sub machine gun to protect your home is just not gonna work out although i'm sure you'd scare the hell out of any burglar its not like there's gonna be some big shootout with the burglar where you might need an automatic weapon plus i believe in most countries the definition of self-defense includes the words reasonable force pumping 30 rounds into a guy is hardly reasonable plus its kinda hard to explain to a jury
most states don't allow you to use a semi auto rifle for hunting and the ones that do only allow you to have a few rounds in the weapon and, at least in my state, your not allowed to use a automatic shotgun for hunting except for water fowl and you have to make it so the shotgun can only hold 3 or 4 shells i'm not sure i don't hunt fowl
Banning guns won't do anything except help criminals. It's a lot easier to attack someone without a gun then someone with one. Gun control and bans is just a reaction to something happening instead of addressing the real issue. Like with all the recent killings, it's not becouse of guns, it's a psychological reason. If someone wants to kill someone, there are pleanty of ways to do it without a gun. People have a right to self defense and as long as their not crazy, they have a right to bear arms if they so wish.
Heck no. if my facts are straight look at great britan. ever since they banned guns the crime rate has soared. the criminals will always be able to get guns and the only thing keepin them from breakin into everyon's house is that they dont know if someone is waiting for them on the other side of the door with a gun in their hand. if guns are banned then criminals wont have to fear whats on the other side of the door so then whats keepin them from breakin in?
O and did i mention that my house has been broken into before? luckily my dad used to keep a shotgun behind the seat of our truck so he went in my house with it. the robers had already left but if they had been in my house then they would have been out of luck.

Exactly. Killing with guns has nothing to do with the gun itself. It's just an implement to kill with. If someone wants to kill another person and there is no guns, there going to find a viciously more painful way to kill someone. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
