Just a question. Why do people like alcohol so much? It's rather bitter, dizzying etc etc. So what do you think?

I'm still in sort of an exerimenting stage in regards to what I will and won't drink. at parties it is mainly whatever is put down in front of me (especially after a few beers). Vodka and whisky are nice (Jack is great) but I had some Cognac and it has to be one of the foulest things that has been in my mouth. Perhaps it was the situation though but still.

Cognac, if you've been drinking bitter ales or stouts, or even some lagers, tastes horribly sickly. I'm not a big fan myself.

As for what you drink, at a rave anything goes. Most of the time though I stick to ale.

With regards to budweisser, it's the only drink I have actually left unfinished deliberately. It just tastes atrocious. Although, I am from a family of beer snobs and was raised on fine British ales, so I have higher standards than most guys I know.

aw thats not nice! My Friends Grandpa owns Budwiser! I think they're great people... Though true the beer is not spectacular.

Well to all the 21+ adults out there. I have discovered a really nice Non-alcoholic beer (.5% alcohol or less is considered non-alcoholic) It is called O'doul's, although a little bit more expensive, it tastes just the same as regular beer and you don't get drunk.(don't drink like 20)

Really? I thought non alcoholic was a straight up 0%? There are lots of beers less than 5% available in the UK that aren't considered non alcoholic. Then again different laws in different places.

Tell your freind's grandad to fix up and stop brewing using rice. Pretty much no one else brews with it for obvious reasons.

FireflyIV the UK laws are as follows:

No alcohol/alcohol-free: not more than 0.05% ABV
Dealcoholised: over 0.05% and under 0.5% ABV
Low-alcohol: not more than 1.2% ABV

So 0.5% as in America is kinda lenient in comparison (I'll have to look for some dealcoholised stuff though lol) Though Lemonade shandy is about 0.5% ABV.

.5% is like a quarter of a shot of hard liquor.

I apologies for my earlier post. I misread DDX's initial one on the subject. I thought he said 5 not point 5. Confusion over.

Normally its hallucinogens at raves.

we don't have raves where i live mostly 'cause no one wants to listen to techno and all that psychedelic junk that stuff just don't fly around here

I'd agree with you there. I also like Jim Bean too. Whisky is one of the 3 spirits I drink, the others being rum and vodka. Smirnoff or Stol for Vodka, or some kind of Jamican rum is always pretty nice.

jim, johnny and jack are my three amigos

Lol. There's tons of great clubs in London. People drop e and MDMA 'cos the drinks are so expensive. Like £6/$11 for a small bottle of beer.

I've had Jim and Jack. Johnny? We don't get much US whisky in England. Most of it's Irish or Scottish stuff, which can be pretty nice.

In my opinion with my somewhat limited knowledge on alcohol, I think whiskey is disgusting. I go for the better stuff such as Brandy, then again it is personal preference.

You must be like the only one!!!11!one
I have been to parties where I needed to drink to have fun, because the party was really boring...

Hmm, gaining a like of beer, because it is the cheapest (coughcough) of the alcohol. I would rather drink Morgan or Bacardi, but exprensive... At least in bars.
Bailey is nice as well, if it is cold nough.

Just going to say:
Kids, don't drink! Be cool, stay in school! I pity the foo' who don't listen to me!

Anyways.

Hard liquor is a favourite drink of mine. Depending on the occasion or my mood I stick to spiced rum, vodka, whiskey(As long as it's not Jim...ew) or scotch.
However, I also have a history of stomach troubles. I am prone to heartburn...violent, horrible heartburn. My family on my fathers side has a history of ulcers. So yeah, too much of the hard stuff and my stomach dies.

Beer doesn't do that to me. But it tastes like piBwasser. From my younger days, beer has all the fun games. Bouncing quarters off of bars into different sized glasses? Olde skool classic. I counteract the taste with a few straight shots to get things started.
---------

One last time: I don't condone or advertise the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. If you aren't old enough to drink...please don't. Your liver and future self will appreciate it.

I have bery high inhibitions somehow and elcohol lowers them so I'm almost like a normal human being I smilem relax I even talk to people. It unwinds me which helps at parties else I would be stood in a corner alone.
