Just a question. Why do people like alcohol so much? It's rather bitter, dizzying etc etc. So what do you think?

hmm what i don't understand is why people do drink...

Its idiotic...

It can really ruin you...

Makes you do stupid crap...

Ive grown up on the bad side of drinking, and instead of some people i know, and have gotting into the drinking, I've driven away from it.

I may not know much seeing as how young i am.But im mature, and smart enough, to know not to drink.

well drinking, boosts your confidence by a lot at parties, trust me.

Sometimes you just need a little push to ask this cute girl out on a date, or sometimes you need that little nudge to do a back flip off a 2nd story building. It's all thanks to alcohol.

I know of people who were pressured into drinking by their peers.

Like Cenere says you must go to the wrong parties. Round my way it is mostly a "drink what you bring" policy. Why force someone to drink a beer they don't want when you can have it all to your self

Agree.
Most of the parties I go to (besides the bars), it is drink what you bring. In the later hours it usually get "Drink what you can find", though.

that works fine until someone finds the keys to the drinks cupboard and drinks the parents £50 cognac (they weren't pleased)

Well, one of my friends drank most of her parents' gin, but made the deal afterwards, that her father could have her whiskey (a present from some of the others).
But yeah, expensive drinks are expensive...
