To mods or admins:
This has to do with religion so I think it belongs here. If it doesn't tell me where it should go, please, or move it.

The thing is... I don't know what to believe in.

My history:
I was raised as a Roman Catholic. I started reasearching different religions I don't know how long ago. I'm fine with lesbian/gay relationships and I'm willing to hear anything you'll tell me. If you want to know more about the beliefs I have now, ask me.

I know I want to believe in a diety, and I'm pretty sure I want to remain a Christian. But I'm open to other ideas as well. I'm just asking that you tell me about your religion so I can get more information.

Thanks!
~Raven

Attitudes towards homosexuals should have nothing to do with religion.

As for your beliefs, that's a personal decision which shouldn't be decided on, based on the opinions of mods or admin on a flash gaming website.

If you want to find out about other beliefs do your own research, don't expect others to do the leg work for you.

I've already done quite I bit of research on the internet and I feel that I've looked up all that I can. I would just like to receive people's thoughts and opinions.

And I don't want the admins and mods to tell me, I was just saying why I thought this topic belonged here.

Well most Christians I know don't really like homosexual relationships so I thought I would put that there...

But if I have other people telling me the same thing, then I'll let this topic die. Let me just see if I get anymore replies later on, and don't ask them to lock it yet.

You know the wrong Christians.

Anyway, yes. Your belief is personal. No one should be judge on what they believe, but how they act it out.
Actually, people should not be judged, but it IS a natural thing to do > >...

Any other beliefs that you are interested in? And about the homosexual bit, it's rather like a fallacy. Being popular doesn't mean you have to follow any particular doctrine!

Just to comfort you...God said to love thy neighbour. He never mentioned anything about sexuality. Coming from a non-Christian, so I'm not entirely sure about Scripture.

Most Christians I know take no issue whatsoever with homosexuality. Let me guess, you live in the USA?

On what? Other people's thoughts and opinions shouldn't have anything to do with what you believe in.

I see, I was mistaken, apologies.

Well I was thinking about UUism, if you know what that is. I like how with them you can believe whatever you want. As a UUist, I could combine parts of different religions that I like, and still be a Christian, you know??

Also, I like the idea of maybe being a Baptist. They don't require you to go to services and its basically centered around the Bible. My Dad's a Baptist, and I've learned a lot from him about it.

Anything else you need to know??

Just follow your beliefs...Your life is ultimately still in your hands. We cannot steer it for you. If you heartily agree on something, go for it. Just don't stray into those black magic, Devil worshipping cults and sects...

Sounds like a bunch of new age hogwash to me. But like I said before, don't let anyone's opinion dissuade you. Decide it for yourself.

I definitely am NOT doing that nichodemus, hell no.

If you consider the 1800s New Age, then yeah, I guess so.

I guess there's a lot of different types of Christianity I could chose from, its just so confusing.

Haha, of course I know you won't. Decent people who know what's bad for them do not engage in said activities.

Idk if it's a good idea to try to just select a certain sector of Christianity. Maybe you just have your own custom belief.

I really think you should remain Christian and, without thinking about anything that you learned from other beliefs, figure out what you truly believe. Even if Christianity has a problem with gay marriage, those who want to engage in gay marriage probably don't want to *join in* with those opposed to them, so there's nothing to be done about it. Don't let that issue affect your decision.
Do you believe Christ is truly present during Communion, and that there is a Purgatory before heaven, and that you can pray to saints? If so, stay a Catholic.
If you do not, be sure to match up other religions with your specific beliefs. Hope that helps

To BigP08:
I believe in Purgatory, and I like praying to the saints. But I'm not so sure about Communion. Does 2/3 count?? I like most of the things about Catholicism but I also want to add on. Am I able to stay a Catholic, even if I add beliefs from other sects of Christianity??

@DarkLadyRaven:
Well, you could still stay a Catholic, it's not really a problem. But Catholicism doesn't like it when people *preach* things contradictary to it, so I wouldn't tell people to believe what you believe (explaining your belief is one thing, but campaigning it is different). However, many Catholics, when faced with something they slightly disagree with, would throw the whole thing out the window. I would implore you to keep to it, but also to understand that Catholicism is strict in how far you can go against certain things.
However, Communion is usually only made into a big deal by other religions, so that's just a little thing. If by add on you truly mean *add on* and not *replace* or *subtract*, then there is no problem with that either.

It's a bit difficult to offer advice on this kind of topic without seeming like persuasion. You don't have to follow a given religion, or say you are of a specific religion. That kind of thing really doesn't matter. I suggest you start from the ground up and take only the ideas that appeal/make sense to you. It won't be perfect, but as you encounter new experiences you can always amend your beliefs to better fit your life. Just remember to continually approach new ideas with an open mind because once you close yourself off, your set of beliefs becomes just as restraining as any other religion.
