This thread while hold competitions to see which band AG likes the most. You vote on which of the following band is better and why. Then, I will add all of the votes and see which band is better.

RULES
1.You can only vote one time
2.Do not spam (duh).
3.Do not complain if the band you want to win loses

Please keep this clean and I will try to pick bands that people know of.

It seems like this battle is off to a good start. AvengedSevenfold and TackyTNT, I would like to see more reasoning for your vote (Sevenfold, you just need to expand on it).

At this point the score is:

R.E.M.: 1
Oasis: 2

You should have added Blur to this battle

I've never heard of them, so I'll have to check them out. Got any good songs to look up by them?

Cause they were one of the main forces in the New Wave post-punk era, lasting till 00's

If I had to pick 3 songs by them, it would be:
Song 2(coolest song) + The Universal(calm-sing-along-with-the-chorus-song) + Crazy Beat(crazy song)


I did'nt know Song 2 was by them. I hear it at every sports event.

R.E.M. (Rapid Eye Movement) They have a great sound and good hits.

If Blur is Beyonce, then Oasis is Beyonce's ugly, annoying jerk sister.
And besides, R.E.M. made the best video ever.

Oasis, they're definitely one of top ten favorite bands, with R.E.M somewhere down at about 30th maybe.
My favorite song by Oasis is Wonderwall by far.

Honestly, (there's lots o' honesty in me) I think that Oasis is a Beatles ripoff, with worse band trouble, worse lyrics and they were also BIG TIME JERKS.

BTW THE NEW BROKEN BELLS LP COMES OUT TODAY!

Well, they did form the band at first to be a sort of Beatles impersonator band.
My vote now. I am voting for Oasis in this battle. I find the songs to be much more catchy than those of R.E.M. I also like the guitar tone and the singers voice better than those of R.E.M.

I am not a big Oasis fan.
I prefer REM, they have some pretty good and interesting song. Plus, I just love their song I'll Take the Rain.

Anyway, I vote REM.

First of all, Justin Bieber sucks the business end of a donkey..

Secondly, I'm voting for REM in this battle. Oasis was fine at first, but REM has songs that just make me crank up my stereo like "Everybody Hurts", "Losing my religion" and "Orange Crush" which incendetally (sp?) I love playing on Rock Band.

And just to recap, Justin Beiber should shrivel up and take Lady PukePuke with him.
