What is your favorite guitar company? Is it Gibson? Maybe Ibanez? Or even BC Rich? Post your favorite guitar company and what kind of guitar you like. (No stupid comments).
Here I go, Well I have an Ibanez RG3EXFM1 and I love it. It is the greatest guitar I have ever played. I have played some Epiphones but I don't like any of the Models. I have played Fenders and Jacksons, a few Shecters but nothing feels just right. I even own a BC Rich KKV which I think is great. But nothing has satisfied me like the great Ibanez guitars do.
The only thing I don't like about Schecters is that they copy designs from other guitars. For example...look at the Schecter Omen 6 Extreme and the ESP KH-2 Vintage. A very sharp resemblance.
How about Laguna?
They're mainly known for acoustics and acoustic electric, but I had a Laguna LE122 Electric a while back, but the dual humbuckers and tremolo system caused to much buzz and interference with almost any amp I plugged it into. Plus it had cheap, bad wound humbucker coils.
Hey it looks like Parker guitars just got their first signature model. How old is this company?
Parker isn't to old compared to companies like Gibson and Fender. Parker is only about 16 years old. My favorite guitar by them is the Parker Fly! Eddie Van Halen and Pete Townshend played one!
I like Fender guitars, and I really want a Telecaster.
Fenders are awesome. I prefer the Stratocaster over the Tele though. Mark Knopfler from the Dire Straits plays a red Fender Strat!
I guess I must be one of the only strickly bass player on AG. Like I said earlier I like the Traben Bass Company, but they make nothing but bass guitars. If I had to choose a regular guitar company I would have to go with PRS or ESP. From PRS the Custom 22 and the Paul Allender and from ESP the F-401 or Ax-401
The three guitars Meant for every metal and rock 'n roll! My fave guitar from dean: The Dime razorback Midnight Bolt The Ibanez XPT700 Xiphos Electric Guitar
The Jackson RR3 Randy Rhoads Electric Guitar (Ivory with Black Pin Stripes)
Dude all the strats and teles Look HORRIBLE! Fender is horrible Gibson is PWNAGE
I own the following: The Dime razorback Midnight Bolt The Ibanez XPT700 Xiphos Electric Guitar The Jackson RR3 Randy Rhoads Electric Guitar AND the shecter Hellraiser!!!!!
Dude all the strats and teles Look HORRIBLE! Fender is horrible Gibson is PWNAGE
Like we haven't heard that before...Gibson makes great guitars but I think Fender guitars have better quality...and even if you don't like Fender Guitars saying they are horrible is really a stupid thing to say. I mean Fender is really successful. Great guitarist use Fender so I know for a fact they don't make horrible guitars.
B.C. Rich is an awesome guitar company that makes cheap aggressive, powerful, and nicely made guitars. My favorite is the Red Bevel Warlock and of course the Bich.
Gretsch is hands down my favorite.
Then you must be a fan of the Bo Diddly and the Billy Bo.
Ibanez XPT700 Xiphos Electric Guitar
A Jackson WRXT Warrior copy. Almost identical to mine. Or it could be the other way around. I'm not to sure about Warrior Vs. Xiphos production.
Dude all the strats and teles Look HORRIBLE! Fender is horrible
Well if you are a guitarist you must overlook the design of a guitar and go with quality. Fender uses some of the best Alnico pick-ups and humbuckers. I like an edgy guitar with quality and some flare. That's why I have a Jackson WRXT Warrior, I swapped out the detonating humbuckers with an EMG85 at the bridge and an 81 up top to make the beast roar and still sound good.
i think that gibsons are kinda overrated
I think they are more overpriced than overated. I mean really, $1000 for a quality SG standard. I personally love them because of the aggressive, yet clean tone.
Gibson makes great guitars but I think Fender guitars have better quality.
I can agree with that. Gibson guitars are also very heavy...
Great guitarist use Fender so I know for a fact they don't make horrible guitars.
Do any of these ring a bell?
Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) Eric Clapton (The Yardbirds/Cream/Solo) David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) Stevie Ray Vaughn (Solo) Pete Townshend (The Who) Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) Jimi Hendrix (Solo)
