What is your favorite guitar company? Is it Gibson? Maybe Ibanez? Or even BC Rich? Post your favorite guitar company and what kind of guitar you like. (No stupid comments).
Here I go, Well I have an Ibanez RG3EXFM1 and I love it. It is the greatest guitar I have ever played. I have played some Epiphones but I don't like any of the Models. I have played Fenders and Jacksons, a few Shecters but nothing feels just right. I even own a BC Rich KKV which I think is great. But nothing has satisfied me like the great Ibanez guitars do.
Hard to say. A lot of famous people like the gibson. The who, led zeppelin. Rickenbacker seems cool. Gretch. If I had the money Id get a rickenbacker or a gretch or mabye even a gibson. wichever sounded the best.. My guitar is so generic it has no name. But it plays.
Just started on the jackson RR3 Rhoads, played drums for a while but money was more of a problem to get one of the Roland kits (had no choice when it came to good electric kits really) so moved to guitar for a while, especially as a mate was selling it at £300.
First owned guitar so far so hopefully a good choice in the long run, love the look and the sound compared to the one i'd borrowed.
A friend loves Ibanez so i guess im a bit bias towards Jackson and Ibanez atm, let me know what you think on my choice on guitar
Learning guitar is a skill not to many people stick with. Learning tabs is a fun easy way to learn guitar. Ultimate Guitar is an awesome place to learn songs by tabs, but learning major chords (power, barre, etc) are something that you should also look into.
Don't start off trying to play metal!
Metal can look pretty hard, but really it's the power chords, tapping, hammer-ons & pull off, and distortion that make it seem hard. With a lot of determination you can learn any genre. Rock is typically easier though.
I talking about those crazy solos you see people trying to play. Not the people playing chords with heavy distortion.
Many are simply fast picking (or sweep picking), tapping, hammer-ons and pull-offs, with some added things. Don't let the way it looks intimidate you. Break it down and learn them piece by piece and then work on speed. Easy as "Smoke On The Water".
Just started on the jackson RR3 Rhoads
Gotta love Jackson. The quality of those guitars are hard to beat. Awesome starting guitar. I love the thin necks and the overall feel of a Jackson, all the power and the awesome designs. Most Jackson's are affordable powerhouses too.
I think that most metal is just triplets in a 'chugging' downpicking motion. Metal is pretty easy to play...unless its shred metal.
If it's not triplets it's usually power chords, tapping, pinch harmonics, or all of the above. I agree with ya.
My first bass, if that counts, id an Ibanez GSR200FM (or something like that), so I'd have to go with Ibanez, I have played other basses, and they felt weird.
i like the way the fender stratocaster feels but i like the sound of a gibson..so i modified my stratocaster to sound like a gibson..(= i like gibson or fender best though
