What is your favorite guitar company? Is it Gibson? Maybe Ibanez? Or even BC Rich? Post your favorite guitar company and what kind of guitar you like. (No stupid comments).

Here I go, Well I have an Ibanez RG3EXFM1 and I love it. It is the greatest guitar I have ever played. I have played some Epiphones but I don't like any of the Models. I have played Fenders and Jacksons, a few Shecters but nothing feels just right. I even own a BC Rich KKV which I think is great. But nothing has satisfied me like the great Ibanez guitars do.

Fender Stratocasters are awesome to me. I like them.

I've never actually heard one in person though, so I'm not sure how they sound.

But looks wise, they're awesome.

Never knew this thread existed?! o_0

Glad I found it through your profile's about! =D
Allright, my entry for this thread then...

First electric guitar I owned was the one I got from my dad. It was an 'Aria Pro II - FS series'. It had a 'Fender-shaped body' and came with all the gear needed to start playing guitar. I must say honestly, itdid very well for the time being, but I soon discovered that the tremolo-bar was completely worthless on it...
Every time I even looked at it, my guitar was out of tune again and I had to tune it before getting to play any further! Very frustrating...

After a few years I finally gave up on guitar playing, that was at the age of 14, simply because girls became more interesting at that point in my life... hehe

But after some 15 years it started to cross my mind again and I felt the urge to see whether I wanted to play again. Obviously that 'cheap wooden surfboard with some wiring attached to it' wouldn't do to re-discover my love for it, so I started surfing and checking for what the market has to offer nowadays...

I wanted a guitar that was not too expensive and at the same time was solid and good enough to make me enjoy playing again!

After some time I found the perfect mistress... I present you my very own... Carmen!

It's an ESP LTD EC-50, has a 'Candy Apple Red' body with a shining finish and when played upon she feels like a warm embrace followed by nails scratching your back to give you goose bumps!
Like I said, I wanted to know whether I would re-discover the love of playing guitar and she showed me 'I still got the blues' for it! =D

Allthough I can't speak for other guitars and brands, since these two are the only ones I know off and played upon, I would definitely recommend the 'ESP LTD EC-50' to anyone!

Rock on! \\,,//_

Fender makes quality guitars, but they're all too simply. I like Gibson as well

No fans of the ESP LTD series in this thread?

Seems there are only fans of Gibson, Fender and Ibanez in here! =P

They are the only companies that are good...Excluding the Gibson and Fender part...

LOL What do you mean... only Ibanez... =P

Come on, you must have tried an ESP LTD once before you can honestly say you don't like it!

I currently have a Fender Stratocaster. I'm going to get a Gibson Les Paul in a month though. I find the Gibsons have an extremely comfortable shape and I prefer the sound of a Les Paul to a Stratocaster.

I just got one of those beginner Fender Squier Strats.

I haven't even been able to put it in tune yet...and I broke a string in the process of doing so...

so I'll have to get back to you on that once I buy some new strings...

Good to back in the forums again. >>AG's Guitar Hero<< (Thanks for the nickname H.J.) >.<

Sadly, I sold my Faded and 400 SGs, but no point in keeping 4 Gibsons when 1 does the job. I'm going to put a set of EMGs on the Standard (something different) and keep the A.Y. Signature for looks on my wall.

One mistake many guitarists make is buying the guitar that they see a popular guitarist play to get their same sound. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. I found that out when I first bought my ESP KH-20 (I'm a big Metallica fan and play a lot of their music). With the extra money from selling the 2 SGs I added a DigiTech Grunge pedal and a Dunlop KH-95 Wah-Wah pedal to my gear. Now I get an awesome Metallican sound.

I would pay anything for good quality.
Yeah, why would you waste your money on something that will break when you play it.

A Harmony was my first guitar.
That was my very first guitar to! Mine was a 1983 Harmony 02815 with dual single coils. It was terrible and awesome at the same time.

I haven't even been able to put it in tune yet...and I broke a string in the process of doing so...
Be thankful you don't have a floating bridge. That is the most aggravating process in the world. Restring Floyd Roses >.<. Bought new strings once and broke the last string tuning it.

Schecter would be my favorite. schecter or jackson. Gibson has been makin some crappy, unorthodox guitars lately and i dont find B.C. Rich guitars to be produced for sound quality, only for the fact that they look good. Ibanez is up there in my list because they are good to shred on but other than that they are relatively limited. Schecter and Jackson are both good for metal (what i primarily play) but also good for just messin around. I can play jazz or just about anything else on my Jackson, and my schecter can purty much do everything.

Nobody seems to like ESP here?!? 0_o

I know I keep whining about it, but there must be some fans of the brand out there... =D

Is there at least someone who played the guitar before and wants to share his opinion with us?
