You don't need to clone a human to harvest organs. Research is being undertaken in order to clone individual organs. Cloning people purely to kill them and harvest their organs would go against a hell of a lot of current legislation anyway.

I believe they are first washing off the cells of structures leaving only the cartilage shell, then scanning it, then mass producing it by using stem cells to grow back the tissues.
Can asnyone see a practical purpose for cloning yet? Organ donation isn;t viable cos stem cells are easier (once we have perfected it) and because its "awesome" (I feel like Bill and Ted) isn;t much better.
what about an army of clones? not like star wars, but clones of someone no one would ever missed, psychologically controlled and geneticaly perfected...the ultimate army.
oh and for the super clone army they would have stem cells that would take on healing and regenerative abilities so that they can heal during combat...

nah you don't want to use humans you want gorillas they have like 10 times the strength of a human, half the intelligence, they don't complain, they got opposable thumbs and you can train them to do just about anything

yea... not gonna happen. It is impossible to speed up the healing process with stem cells, it still takes the same amount of time for tissue to repair itself.
deth lol I like that idea me and my brethren, anyways, alot of people say cloning is "unnatural"... BS!!! If we can do it, it is somewhat natural, and cloning can have many purposes, but it needs to be watched, if we rely on clones in the future, then that won't go well
lol me and my friends talked about a way to secure the US/Mexico border it involved training gorillas (we had originally discussed genetically engineering them but decided it would be too expensive and technology isn't advanced enough to do it) to stand guard a giant wall and use ming dynasty armor and weapons just because
clone organs and stuff like they are now
i'm not sure where i originally heard about this it was a couple years ago maybe on 60 minutes or something like that but they're actually building organs cell by cell with a plain ink jet printer
