From the OP:

Did I ever say he had to leave? No.

This is a place for a non-centered but intelligent discussion.

You didn't exatly make that implicit in your post, in fact it seemed the opposite.

This is a place for a non-centered but intelligent discussion.

I don't think they have to be intelligent, just not spam.

Okay then. It should be intelligent though...

Inteligence helps though. It nice to have a mendering thread. Its more fun to walk randomly in the woods than follow the path.

I'm sure you've heard the stories of what happens to chidlren who stray too far from the path and get taken by the paedos. I'll stick to the path me.

14 is pretty average starting age in Europe. You Americans are so uptight about booze.

Yeah, what losers, Japan's is much lower

Plus we have better alcohol, except for sake. BLECH! Europe, preferably around Italy,
has the best wine, or so I hear. They have so many varieties and vineyards.

Yeah especially in places where alcohol isn't drunk to get intoxicated and is seen as something to go with a meal like in France, kids drink (watered down) wine from a young age. Then again in England the law states that it is leagal for over 5's to consume alcohol. under 5 you need medical supervision and a medical reason.

I hear there are vending machines in Japan serving booze. If it were like that in Britain, it would be look like the last helicopter out of Saigon.

Each culture has different attitudes. Personally I think the British thing goes too far and causes too many problems. What I'm surprised about is the attitude of America. Considering how pretty much every American is a European immigrant I'd have thought they'd have a much more liberal attitude towards booze.

Italian wine is nothing special in my opinion. French stuff is top dog.

People still feed their kids gin before bed to make them fall asleep. Kids making a racket seems reason enough to me.

It happens but, alas, it is illegal. Never did me any harm... badingdingbingbingdingbingbing... (any robin williams fans out there would find that funny by the way all about context)

There isn't even a drinking age in china...

there serve sleeping quarters too, basically you pay a hole opens up you climb in and goto sleep. They also sell lobster dinners, but they kinda taste nasty.

I'm a fan of Australian wine, actually. There's some incredible Shiraz that comes out of McClarenvale. too bad they had a drought in '08~

I hate alcopops so much. They taste like a fizzy drink but get you drunk. weird stuff.

Unfortuneatly (for my liver) I am at the age when all the parties are raves and everyone is drunk etc. I'm a good little christian boy I only drink wine at communion <cough> >.> Now it is ridiculous but alot more fun (sang high sober inhibitions).
