Muay thai is...pretty sick. Masculinity discussion in progress. Testosterone pumping in users trying to outdo each other in ridiculous arguments that get no where.

Brains are better.

*dumbfound expression* Huh?

And since I am way more brain than brawn (mainly because I am somewhat similar to a stick) I agree with Nichodemus on that one.

Well...I go for brains mostly, but don't expect me to be a wimp. Waterpolo like DD.

Stab him with the pen. Ink poisons the blood as a bonus.

I wasn't suggesting that. I was suggesting that something that happens in Greece is -possible- in America.

Well, yes, of course. I just don't think Greek and American 'culture' go particularly well together. This is a sweeping generalisation, but Greeks are generally much more continental in taste, and are not very pro American due to Cold War politics either. Think of the Greeks as poorer, less well dressed Italians.

@Firefly & Strop: Do you guys like living where you live?

Obviously I can't speak for Strop, but personally I'd rather live in the UK than anywhere else in the world. Ignoring history, England's 80% belief in evolution, adherence of humanitarian laws and until quite recently, our healthy economy, quite obviously win.

Including history we have a long and infamous list of offences. Nationally, I'd be ashamed to say I was from England.

Since I'm not a nationalist though, ENGLAND FTW.

As for Australia, I have a brother living in Sydney, and have visited a few times. My first impression was that it is very superficial and everyone is out to get more shiny expensive things than everything else. I despair that England seems to be going the same way.

Ah fire...you have Rowling too. Such a bloodied history too. Shame.

The bullies of the world. British Empire? Such an understatement.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti America. There are a lot of things that the Brits could and should learn from America. I just wouldn't want to live there.

Look at your social politics for example. It's an ugly circus of rightist religious ideation Vs. leftist social indoctrination. You've relinquished your individualism and personal freedoms to American multinational corporations. No wonder the rest of the world looks at you with horror and disgust.

Such a materialistic people...But extremely friendly and kind. Unlike Singaporeans. Feel embarassed to be one frankly. I can tell who's a Singaporean anywhere in the world. They give you that frigid, unapporachable, snobbish look.

I'd say the Brits, and most Northern Europeans for that matter are quite similar. Everyone is so cynical and unfriendly. That's one of the things I'd like to take from America. Then again, Americans do come across as pretty naive too.

Sure why not, any excuse for a gyros. Ask if they have Peloponnesian style as that's the best.

My brother has dual citizenship, which I am quite jealous of because of the tax benefits, but I had to give it up because of my job. But yea, go for it (the Greek festival I mean).

I've never had authentic gyros. Even the Americanized, non-authentic ones are delicious with tzatziki sauce.

Hopefully you'll find real Greek food. Not just the taverna stuff they feed the tourists. There's more to Greek cuisine than grilled meat and feta salad.

Also be on th elook out for lots of smokers, bad drivers and bad haircuts all round.
