Anyway, porn, i admit to watching it sometimes and im sure a lot of others do too, maybe not to play with themselves, just too watch maybe lesbians doing it ot something i dont know. So do you think its a good thing or bad thing? Do you think people should watch it at an earlier age? have you ever watched it and what do you think? you dont have to answer any of these questions they are just guidelines if you have nothing to post
@ Pickleshack - Fair enough; but underage viewing of pornographic material *is* illegal, so really, they shouldn't be watching it anyway. As for your points on the mystery of it - well, I think it's fair to leave it up to the individual to make their own decisions.

No. That's one of the poorer arguments for there not being a god. I mean, people write science textbooks & math equations, and they stand up - so men aren't always wrong. However, the content of those scientific texts are based on things that can be proved, and evidence. The bible on the other hand has no corroborating evidence to show that there is some almighty supernatural power that made, or controls the universe as we know it. There's just no data for it.
So, much like Zophia was saying (nice post btw) - it's impossible for a religious person to use religious backing to convince someone who is not religious of a certain point of view.
If you can come up with a scientific study about how porn ruins people's lives and how bad it is for society, that's been posted in well respected journals by experts in their fields - I'll be far more amicable toward your point of view.

But sometimes men don't resort to porn after a divorce. They usually go to clubs and party like a rockstar, get drunk, and then have sexual intercourse with a female. But on the other hand, the X-wife might take the computer said in the divorce papers. So, in that case, you would not be able to watch porn.

From the other side of this view: It glorifies the body. It shows the body because people desire the body. You love looking at the body, and as such, porn glorifies it. This is probably more true in the more artistic porn, rather than in the smutty homevids. But it is part of the truth about what porn does.

I don't think I've heard of anyone who've managed to live by that, even if they think it. It's not possible in present day society.

what's wrong with it? aside from some religious beliefs, there's no real scientific proof that says that it'll turn you into a demon or anything.

When they think their religious views are the only valid views they clash with everyone else. That ruins things. I really wish people would just accept that not everyone thinks the same way and stop trying to enforce what they think is right.

Again, there's this argument about possibility of harm. Think of all of the things that are legal already that can cause way more damage then pornography.

I'll leave it at the short list.. but.. it's a really poor argument. Just because something is capable of causing harm, does not mean that it should be banned. Besides, it's already legal in a lot of places.
