A 14 year old boy is being tried as an adult for shooting his 33 year old, sexually abusive dad dead

I don't think I have seen anything this backwards in my life. I mean, adults don't even get tried as adults for killing people that have repeatedly committed acts like this against them.

A 14 year old shoots his sexually abusive dad...

Justice was served. Why take it to court?

A child has the capacity to kill. It is possible that he, for lack of a better word, is crazy. He could likely kill someone else, maybe his mother because she didnt stop it. Sure its prully all the dads fault but the kids is unstable.

No, the kid shot his dad because he was being sexually abused, not because he is crazy...

unstable.

I showed my evidence as to why the murder was justified. Where's yours to say that he's blinded by blood lust?

Also, the main issue here that you seem to miss is not whether or not he'll be sen as guilty. It's that if he is he will be serving 25 to life in a maximum security ADULT prison.

There are only a few ways his life can go from there:

A.) Becoming someones play thing in jail and killing himself
or B.) Getting taken under some hardasses wing, getting into a gang for protective purposes and then being a real criminal when he gets out.

No, he didnt have to shoot his dad he could have told authorities or something. The fact the he shot his dad instead of doing something else means the kid is unstable. Im not saying its the kids fault, its really the dad that did this, but the kid is unsafe and should be locked up (not in jail or something but a hospital for criminally insane so he can get therapy). Anyway he shouldnt just get a slap on the wrist and then freedom.

More like total freedom and court ordered theorapy. Do you have any idea how long a court case can take? What do you think happens to the boy if he goes to the cops and they're not sure what to make of it all at first. All it would take is 10 minutes with the dad and the poor boy could be dead. But you can get up on your high horse all you like but you haven't suffered it and so you can't say what he did makes him unstable. It's called fear. Wives get off for killing abusive husbands all the time its called battered wife syndrome.

I believe they are called 'crimes of passion', but yes in a way I agree. Dad continually abuses son, son shoots dad. Anarchic justice at it's finest.

But BWS is a recognised disorder. But sometimes in some cases it has been used when a kid has beaten the shit out of a bully at school and other situations that can draw parallel to it. Just like this case.

I'm just saying I don't think ''Battered Wife Syndrome'' is the technical name fo rit.

more than likely its just another case of a DA wanting to make a name for himself so he can get re-elected

The defense will probably argue self defense and/or temporary insanity. Plenty of cases very similar to this one have gone to court.

I don't think a sexually abuser is sentenced to death.

This is when murder is a good thing. If your dad is doing unlawful things to you (on a constant basis, and would probably be given a life/death sentence) then go ahead and kill him.
