Do you know what specific Christian denomination church you go to?

Pentacostal, I don't really know what that is to specifics, but I'll look it up

All right, I'll try to look it up too. I'm going to bed right now, though, I have finals tomorrow and I need to be well-rested. I haven't studied much, so I need to BS my way through the questions I don't know. Night.

I don't like these past few posts due to the highly controversial nature of Heaven and Hell...

Personally, I believe you have to believe Jesus is the son of God and must attempt to follow his ways. I don't necessarily think that every person who goes to church goes to heaven and I certainly don't believe that people outside of the faith do, but there are some grey areas...

Let's say you were never told that Jesus/God exists because you live on a remote island in the 18th century or you are an infant that died within the first few days of life, long before any sort of acceptance of religion could occur. There are two main theories for this...
Predestination: God knows where you would have gone if you would have known/wouldn't have died before you could understand and sends you there
Deletion: Due to neither a positive or negative acceptance of religion, at your point of death, God deletes your soul and thus you go to neither heaven nor hell...

Honestly, I can't remember what the true name of the deletion theory is, but it makes sense to me since my view of the universe is like a giant computer program in debug mode...

Why do you believe that others 'have' to believe that, and 'must' follow those ways?

religions are good. But when people is fanatic they create only war and conflict, for reasons who have nothing to do with religion. Examples are the Crusades and the jihad.

No its not, Christianity and Catholic have many huge differences. Just because they both believe in God, doesn't mean they're the same.

christianity is divided:

protestants, and catholics.

catholics tend to have more ceremonys but thats all i know (im presbetarian)

protestants tend to follow christianity by the book, and if its not in the bible, they dont do it. Catholics are generally opposite of this.

Go into the protestant church, and its just 4 walls, a stage, and some pews. Catholic churches have balconys, are ornamented, etc.

catholacism is christianity. Not seperate.

the reason Jihad and Crusades were started is because 3 religions lay claim to Palestine. Muslims, because this is where there religion was born, Cristians, because Jesus was born here, and Jews because they were promised that land (Israel) by God in the book of Genesis. All three releigions claim jerusalem, Although currently the Jews have it.

Only reason Jews didnt do a crusade/Jihad, is because during the middle ages, Jews were persecuted, and there fore were seperated and by the time word got around, itd be over.

You don't have to have a religion. But if you think about it, if you don't have a religion, then you are kind of an Athiest. I personally believe in God and do think it is important to have a religion. Religion is sort of an optional thing now-a-days.

You say it like it's a bad thing.

Religion is sort of an optional thing now-a-days.

Which I would think of as a good thing. There were times where not being religious, or heretical, or even having a different religion would get you killed.

I agree with you, even though being in a modernized western society, humanity still hasn't learn the acceptance of difference.

Not necessarily, you can think "God created the universe and this and that, etc." but not believe in a certain religion. A personal set of beliefs by which you could follow
