Ok, well our president Barrack Obama decided to play golf on Memorial Day. Instead of going to some prayer for a soliders who died, he played golf. The reason you probably haven't heard this is because he told the media not to cover it. Somehow somebody published a paper about it, and it got out. This realy pisses me off, how about you?
Um, My grandfather who served in the Vietnam war was there to personally see him (granda always goes to Arlington on memorial day). I saw obama on CNN presenting the wreath for the tomb of the Unknown soldier (used to be plural, until breakthrough in DNA technology identified 2 of them) (I was there last year).
I don't really like Obama, but my teacher saw him at Arlington, the Vietnam memorial, and the WWII memorial, sooooo even if he did play golf (which he most likely did) he visited the memorials to, how many of you had cookouts AND respected the veterans I mean come on, you can do two things in one day.
Well, that settles it. But don't expect the thread to end. There's going to be at least one or two people making claims about him golfing. Or maybe it'll die out or the mods will just lock it. Either way, that's that.

Well, I think that it was a horrible idea only because he is our president and he did not go to a service to honour our fallen soldiers. He shouldn't have played golf, he should have shown the fallen soldiers respect (even if they are dead). I believe that this was a horrible act. I might be acting a little over the line but what he did made me want to throw up. He is the president, he should have done his JOB and honoured our American soldiers. I can't believe him.

Oh yes he did.... I don't know WHY everyone hates Obama for. Everyone tries to come up with the littlest excuse for attacking him and slandering him as an awful president. He honored our soldiers who fell in battle and he was NOT involved directly with the Manhattan incident, so can we all just drop the "attack the president" arguments? Or are there going to be more people who didn't read to try and start this again?

Craze77, I don't think he skipped out on the service. I didn't witness it myself, but most of the people here saw him on TV. I'm not a fan of him either, but I think this thread is basically about provoking anger. Right now with Obama I'm at a wait and see process. I don't agree with a lot of stuff he's doing, but I'm not always right, so... we'll see.

He didn't know about this, as it was organized by the director of the White House Military office. The mayors office WAS notified before the incident, as well as the police. However, they're was the slight problem that they weren't allowed to notified the public, which was a mistake.

What are you guys even whining about? If he had made a speech you would have complained about that too.
Its a holiday, so he was relaxing. I would have been doing the same. He's been working hard and it's understandable to take a break. At least he didn't vacation for the whole first half of his presidency like some other presidents did.
Well, to me Memorial Day is just a day to celebrate all the mindless drones who fought for a fake cause and that got money in return. But other than that, Obama was an idiot by doing that (if he did). How do you plan to gain respect from the American Public, when you play golf on Memorial day.
