I was just flipping through some youtube pranks , and for some reason some kid had a video of him (marilyn manson) speaking about how millions of religions have benn worshiping a dead guy on a stick . And obviously you know who hes talking about and if you don't then leave this thread , and look up Jesus Christs crusifiction . Anyways this guy ( you can even call him a girl ) is a class A freek . And I would like some one to tell me why he isn't . I still don't know how peaple can agree with this worshipper of the anti christ .

Well, it is sum what accurate, but completely anti-semetic. I don't see what peoples problem with religion is. I mean, how is it harming them that some people need something to believe in? I'm not religious, but I believe in God and I don't see why people can't come to the conclusion that something controls everything. It may not be God that most people believe in or it could be. So I think that they're just as bad as everyone who knows that god controls everything. The only time we will ever figure that out is when we're dead.
He brings up good points, like how the crucifix is the largest mass marketed peice of merchandise in the world. I am not a religous person, but I do accept there is a God or at least some all-knowing all powerful being, but I do agree with Manson on this point.

He was rasied under his mothers religion (Episcopalian) while growing up and attended Heritage Christian School in Canton, Ohio from the first to tenth grade. Just becasue his lyrics attack religious belifes and settings doesn't make him a worshipper of the anti-christ
He just tries to make a point that religion can create a band-aid for the harsh reality that we live in. He calls it the God band-aid in this video at about 9:57 mins. He gives examples of how people can commit terrible acts and then say they believe in God so it's okay. All he does is look at things from a different view point, but because of the way he looks and what he sings about people use him as a scape goat.

Religion is crazy. Ever hear of the movie "religilous" i think... it was about a comidian who got on stage and said " I belive in....." And he would say characteristics of a religion without saying its name. And they were all real. At the end people would say "That does not exist." or "your making that up." And he would say "Christianity" or "Islam". You would be surprised.
On a unrelated note, he is like Lady GaGa's boyfriend, if your read Rolling stone magazine.
He isn't because he just does it for publicity, and it works. He makes himself as socially repulsive and offensive as he can to attract attention. Attention = Record Sales and Concert Attendants = Money.
I think Johnnypants is just plain ignorant. The reason he looks the way he does is because it's meant ot be a fusion of genders. His name Marilyn Manson is meant to be fusing the beauty of Marilyn Monroe and the disturbing evil of Charles Manson, the point is that there is alot in everyone that people don't realise. He looks that way because he likes metal so to fit the bill he needs to look darker. He is actually a very intelligent man, he made up all the shit you hear about him and it worked because people talk about him. It's just like when he got The Spazzies to open at his shwo whe nI was him. It's all about working people up so they blurt out an opinion for themselves.

For one thing, yes, Christians do worship Jesus, who is by physical nature, a dead man on a stick. Manson has a dislike for religion - does that define him as a freak?
You can't call him a girl, because he's a male shock-rocker who has shocked your socks off apparently. I have to assume you're very young if you've not heard of Manson before now. He, similar to groups like Alice Cooper, or perhaps farther away but related, Gwar, uses shock value with image to make sales (as previous people have already posted). He also had an interesting childhood, and he actually has a great amount of insight.
He isn't a freak more than any of us are. I would suggest you read his book, The Long Hard Road Out of Hell, and then perhaps YOU will have some insight, rather than making irrational assumptions because you saw ONE youtube video.

Worshipping the Anti-Christ makes Christians cringe, I know. After all, the beast is trying to ruin our world right? Well... from what I've seen, it's hardly satanists who do that. Actually, deeply religious people are more likely to do so, out of a misguided sense of how the world should be. As far as removing body parts, I can't find anything about that. If you're referring to that video where he looks like a mannequin, yeah duh - special effects. Besides, if he didn't have a 'ackage', I doubt Dita von Teese would've stayed with him as long as she did.
Seriously people... freedom of speech also implies the freedom to adopt a certain image, and it's very much possible not everyone agrees with that image. Not agreeing with it, but allowing it to continue is exactly what free speech is about
