Our country took a turn for the worse when Obama was elected. Tell everyone what terrible things you have learned that he has done

He and his posse lowered spending for the f-22, the future of aircraft!

Right, because we need multi-billion dollar aircraft that can pose for a perfect surface-to-air missile strike. Honestly, while we're busy spending billions on projects like this that will never see field work since they're too valuable and practically useless in our current combat operations, we could provide the entire ground force in Iraq with new body armor, something that will actually see use.

As for the economy issue, I'm torn. I see most sides, even the Republicans who I normally disagree with, as valid and having their own effective methods. The stimulus package does seem a little misguided though, and I can't see it having much effect for some time.

The F-22 Raptor is the most advanced fighter the world has seen. SAM's wouldnt even be able to lock on it. Since the Design and RAM, plus the fact that its Infared immisions are hidden so well. So a SAM of today would probably just fly wherever it was aimed. And we do have advanced body armor going to our troops. Its called Dragon Skin. And it was just recently developed. (2004-2006) But since its Hard to manufacture and is more expensive than the standerd Interceptor body armor might be why we havnt seen it being rapidly deployed.

P.S. Air Supremecy is most important. If you control the Air, then you control the ground.

The F-22 isn't cost-effective, and we're not fighting a country- so we only need air force for bombing and such, and we don't need F-22s for that. And also, the US Army doesn't issue Dragon Skin. They don't like it for some reason.

Yeah, they dont like it because under certain conditions the bindings holding the plates in place just seem to fall apart. And if we stop researching for top of the line aircraft then that will leave of vulnurable to hostile nations.

Then why mention it as a point?

Really. . .the F-22 isn't the only top-of-the-line aircraft. Adn we're already ahead- and Obama is actually increasing our defense budget by about 22 billion, sol don't act like there's no research going on, or that will go on.

The F-22 is not the only top-of-the-line aircraft being researched and used. And Obama is not cutting defense overall, he is increasing the defense budget by 22 billion. So there will definitely be air force research done.

would this include his recent trip to the middle east to try to smooth out relations that were so freakishly screwed up by an idiotic war started by a certain former (thank god) president whose name starts with "George W Bush"?

[qoute]taxation without representation[/quote]

Are you kidding me? "Taxation without representation" originally refers to Great Britain's taxing colonists on internal finances even though the colonists did not have a voice in the British government. Unless something has changed (and it hasn't), you can still vote for public officials in the US!

Lol, G.W. spent over 1/3 of his two terms on vacation away from the White House. Stop complaining.

Yes but not out of taxpayers pockets, other than the fuel to get him there.

Could I have another hint?

I think he meant he's not against GW.
