You fail to see the astounding similarities in your beliefs.
Not exactly. . . . I was making the point that the original poster of the Big Bang misconception shouldn't debate what he doesn't understand. Sebi obviously disagrees, and thinks that you should debate what you don't understand. -------
The Big Bang could have happened. The particles would have always been there. Likewise, there could have been a divine being, that had always been there.
I love the blue. And the voting thread got locked! Now we can't promote George. Ah well. Back on topic.
I'm mostly an agnostic (besides George), because there is just no way to know what happened. Right now I'm veering towards Atheism, because more evidence supports it. But I feel the need to be open to all possibilities.
This is because I believe religion was a paradox made a long time ago when in life you had to survive, not just live it. And this paradox put hope in people's hearts, giving them the strength to move onward and not fear death because of the idea of heaven, life after death. And the idea of having a super power that is incomprehensible and so great that it created everything we know? And that if we do not know who or what God is, never have seen him directly, and go by the word of one man, Jesus, or other's words even tough they could've been schizophrenic and seen something that was not there? Seems more logical to me, because I need evidence, something to back up your claims. If I went to school with the amount of evidence that supports Religion's God(s), on a paper that I tried to hand in, I would get a big, fat, red F. As my grade, So that's why Im Atheist.
Agnostic: Where one doesn't believe in organized religion, but respects the beliefs of those who do.
No...Its the belief that it is imposable to know if there is or is not a god (although to some varying degrees).
Im not really part of any religion. I try to take the good parts of many religions and disregard the bad and supernatural parts i.e. anything from Jews are the chosen people to I am the only god. But I still believe in stuff like dont kill (but thats obvious). I also practice meditation, not parying, because it helps me clear my mind by not thinking.
Actually what really happened was...
God said 'let there be light' and
BANG
it happened
I completely agree with you.
And alt, I am not debating about something I do not understand. I do understand, and I wasn't trying to start an argument. I was just trying to prove a point. You even said yourself that you were trying to argue my point.

I just assumed that you didn't understand the Big Bang because your definition of it was wrong. Quite wrong. I apologize for misreading your post.

That's OK. I apologize for starting this commotion and for not explaining myself clearly enough.
