Well, I don't know because since Roman Catholic is still #1 religion, but Muslims are the most fastest growing religion right now.

Do you think Muslims are going to be the #1 religion. Well, post here.

I don't think that Muslims are going to be the #1 religion, because in many countries they don't like them at all.

countries they don't like them at all.

Kinda a stereotypical western view, but even if that's true it doesn't impact their population and number of followers they have...

Terrorist! ;P

Huh? If thats a joke im ok with that. I always get that and although ppl get offended with that but im not. Its cool. Now the thing is, many Muslims come from Arab countries. Im hispanic and im Muslim. And i dont think im a terrorist cuz Islam has nothing to do with violence. Just cuz Arabs bomb themselves dont mean that Islam is bad. Islam actually means: "Peace"

Because of the peaceful teachings it shows. People from Arab countries just misinterpret the Quaran and use it for something else.

O yea and im not trying to offend the Arabs, just the many one of them that do such terrible things. But i'll admit that theres a lot of Muslims that call themselves Muslims but dont follow the religion right. Theres a lot of corruption among the people now.

U know, people say that nowadays, its better to meet the Religion of Islam first than a "Follower" of Islam. Just shows how corrupt some people of this, really, peaceful religion are.

Sorry for the double post

"Suicide Bombers are to Islam as the Ku Klux Klan is to Christianity"

Very true.

This kind of helps to point out that there really are stereotypes in every religion.

First, being the geek I am, I think it should be "Do you think Islam is going to be the #1 religion? Anyhoo, past that, I have some things to say.

People from Arab countries just misinterpret the Quaran and use it for something else.

I think this generalization is to, well, general. This brings to mind one of my favorite quotes: "Most Muslims are not terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslim."
I don't know if you have heard, but there are Islamic terrorists is Europe and America too. And this leads on to what Ima say next.

O yea and im not trying to offend the Arabs, just the many one of them that do such terrible things.

Again, not true. You just hear about the ones that blow themselves to bloody smithereens. Most Arabs are just like us. You hear about those college shootings, right? Like the one at Virginia Tech a couple years ago (If not, here's a link). They are definitely not the norms of American society. We just hear about them.

Back to the first quote of yours, Kielzanie, the terrorists do not misinterpret the Quaran. What they really do is interpret it in their own way. They believe the Western Culture is dangerous to theirs, so they fight back, claiming a Jihad.

"Suicide Bombers are to Islam as the Ku Klux Klan is to Christianity"

Not quite. Suicide Bombers A) commit suicide, and B) are not targeting a select group of fellow Muslims. The Klan specifically targets black people, whether they are Christian or not.

Now, to answer the question "Do You Think Muslims Are Going To Be The #1 Religion?" (I quote)

I doubt it. Most religions, such as Islam and Christianity, are to conformist and will eventually lose their hype. I think Buddhism will catch on quickly though, because it's more of a relaxed way of life than a religion.

The Cult of George will always be the #1 religion!

Esoteric joking FTW

In followers, however, Islam has a good chance. So does Buddhism, as hojoko said.

Oh, I definitely agree Islam has a good chance in followers, what with modern baby-booming and all. But I'm not so sure about zeal, because of the connection to the not so zealous world of the Outside.

--------

I now root for the Cult of George

The Cult of George is da best. . . .

Zeal-wise. . .Christianity will be on top for a while, depending on how you gauge zeal.

I'm not so sure about Christianity. A religion where people will kill themselves for it, albeit a select few people, seems pretty darn zealous to me.

Im not saying that all Arabs are terrorist. Did i even say terrorist? No, cuz i know all muslims do bad stuff, and they come from everywhere. Im not like them people that just watch tv and just believe what they see. I think that in some way the Arabs fighting this war in the Middle East could be justified. Since some Arabs actually believe in Islam like me, i concider them "brothers." Their homeland waz taken away and have to fight back, but not in the way they are doing.
Of coarse, since i go to a mosque, i know a lot of Arabs are nice and follow the true religion. But trust me, a lot of them corrupt the religion since i am around them a lot.

And i dont know if you know, but elzanie (part of my screen name) is an arab name that my father wanted to call me since I was born muslim. and that he comes from a kind of a decent with arab people. just wanted to throw that out there just to say that am in no way discriminating arabs. But i waz givin a regular spanish name with a arab middle name. I know im wierd. But thats another thing about some Arab people. Since i am hispanic, they do not like me or my family too much. Some do not respect us because of the fact that they think hispanics arent right. But thats just a few of em, those who do really believe dont do nothing like that.

Back to the first quote of yours, Kielzanie, the terrorists do not misinterpret the Quaran. What they really do is interpret it in their own way. They believe the Western Culture is dangerous to theirs, so they fight back, claiming a Jihad.

Kinda true. They claim that they are "killing themselves for Islam" and this is not even what it says any where in the Quaran. I am against Americas idea and think that they should not be there in the middle east and these people have suffered A LOT. its just upsetting to me that these groups that were born into islam do not follow the quaran correctly. This is why us Muslims are being accused of so many stuff.I dont justify anything that they do still, but it is still comepletely wrong for them to do this.

O yea and sorry for the generalization too. And with the Jihad, for us, this means "resistance" and actually my bros middle name. I never heard them say this, but just telling u what that means.

I know its kinda confusing about what i wrote, anything confuse you, point it out

do not follow the quaran correctly.

There's no truly correct way to follow any religious text. It's based on interpretation.

#1 in what sense? Most believers? Most world power? Most faithful?

I am a Christian so I don't want to accept the idea but...
The Muslim faith is growing extremely fast and just might become the most used religion. I personally pity those of the Muslim faith mainly because some of them are blinded by thoughts of having to do good deeds to get to paradise. When they think that they waste their whole life trying to earn salvation. What's worse is that some of them even go so far as to kill themselves and others. The truth is that salvation is already available for us to have. Some people just choose not to become saved, this is why I fear for most of the world becoming a Muslim society.

Honestly, for that I like Islam more than Christianity. Believing in a messiah shouldn't be enough to get to heaven if it exists. . . .
