Heres eveidence, the fact that your observing it, the fact that you can observe, that its not just happening with no conciousness to expirence it...

That's not evidence. It just shows that I am a creature with a particularly complicated & evolved mind, which has developed what would be referred to in our language as 'sentience'. It doesn't have anything to do with a 'god'.

And ignorant people always have an easier time with faith, finding it believable, comforting, and useful.

See the correlations?

Faith is not a good thing. Believing in things that you have no rational reason to believe in is lunacy.

Well it's known that since the begging of humans, they had this intension to think that there MUST be something more strong. People crated god, and god had the image of humans. Thats what the new god is, the god that people believe in today. The ancient civilization were thinking about gods too. But why is it that humans had to do a god? Well there is a lot of reasons. The most important reason is (and HiddenDistance pointed the reason out): If people don't know what it is they will invented it. Most saying it's something more powerful. The ancient time had a god for everything. But science prove some stuff, and less people were thinking about a ''god''. The evolution by the religion was that 2 people would make all the people today. Earth was the center of the universe, and the universe would be a sphere were god looks at it. Science proved it wrong
and it will prove a lot of religious stuff, until there will be no one believing in god. You not be a live ween that happens, because it mite take billions of years, Sebi, but humanity will one day believe in science, and not religion.

I know this will happen nage, because it has been fortold in the book of revelation, it will one day be illigal for any religion at all... the penalty being death...

[quote]Look lets not turn this into a flame war (even though it's already begun) take a car apart and just lay the parts thier and wait for it to put itself back together. That's evolutuion. To belive in God takes faith, something that can not be given to you by any human or being other than God.
Simply put? Completely, utterly wrong. First of all, a car isn't living, it has no mechanism for assembling itself and changing itself, unlike living organism. Second, you're acting as though there was a preset design for life that had to be fulfilled. Again, wrong, evolution simply favors certain species depending on which mutations they develop and what environment they are in, it has nothing to do with completing a set design. Third, why does everyone seem to use that example despite its complete irrelevance to evolution???
As for the faith in God thing, if that were true, wouldn't he put faith in everyone, not just a few? Basically what your saying is God is responsible for giving you your faith, yet why would he only give faith to some, and why would he even bother with it if he controls the outcome of peoples faith, meaning he already knows who goes to heaven/hell? Seems rather pointless

(never used quote before so I hope it worked)

Ok then cut and arm off a person and wait for it to sow itself back together. And God gives everyone a chance, why he does even though he knows the outcome? Only God knows. And he will give you faith if you ask.

well, I tied, and xeden you are very right, in the book of Revelations there will be a one world language, currency, and religion (worshiping the anti-christ)it is said he shall save thew world from an econimc disaster (one which we are in know) after the rapture. After the world is conquered only Isreal will be left. And he will make a peace treaty for seven years which will be broken after the 3 1/2 year. they will then flee to a city in Jordan (forget which one exactly) and will be miraculously protected. And 3 1/2 years later God will return and send the anti-christ into a bottomless pit.

Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis explains Gods existance logicaly.... It opened my eyes, perhaps it could have an effect on you as well....

No offence but I don't need "logic" to belive in God all I eed is faith. The miracles I have exprienced and even seen before my very eyes that happened to me and other people is extrodinary and enough for me to belive.

If the existence of God was unequivocally proven in a book, do you think we would be having this argument?

You yourself admitted religion requires faith, yet you say God's existence can be explained logically. Care tp share?

Yes but they cant fathon the certainty that faith gives you.
Besides, proof is a much better way dont you find?

If you read the book, you could have your awnser, but your foolish pride wont allow you to read it, for fear of being wrong.

Are you saying I m wrong? I belive 100% that there is logic, like proof still there from the Bible, but it's just not enough to convince some people, thats where faith has to come in.its like 1% inspiration and 99% persperation
except 1% logic 99% faith so I admit we are both right
