What do you guys think of his very sad memorial? It summed his life up well . . . there was a lot of celebrity appearances. I think Brooke Shields did the best job of "humanizing" Micheal. Here is a link to watch the full memorial. . . .
understand how so many people can get so obsessed with a musician that his death is like an lifechanging event for them. i think this is again one of the mass effects, where the media try to make a huge think out of the tragic death of a vip.
That's what I was talking about. He's just another person who died. While it is tragic it isn't something to make a giant, tear-jerking scene about. He died. Get over it.
Sorry for double posting and the link. post this into ur bar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaqaoGUNjvc&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Epopeater%2Ecom%2Fmusic%2Farticle%2Fbill%2Doreilly%2Dmichael%2Djackson%2F562050%3Ficid%3Dmain%7Cmain%7Cdl4%7Clink3%7Chttp%253A%252F%252Fwww%2Epopeater%2Ecom&feature=player_embedded
I agree that we all "love" him now since now hes dead. The interviews with the father to me was like "my son died, wanna hear about my new record company?" Also Im kinda pissed at the media....MJ died but dont forget Farrah Fawcett died of cancer...she should of gotten more "coverage" of her death cuz she had a life threatening disease...worse way to die than from someone who was a drug addict and like to hang babies out of windows and molest boys...and Billy Mays death shortly after from a head injury...from the very first hour to this very hour nothing but MJ's death. I only heard like 5 minutes of news talking about Farrah's or Billy's death and the rest was on MJ...I had more respect for Farrah and Billy death cuz they actually were sucessful in their lives..MJ threw it away as soon as he left The Jackson 5
honestly, i don't think they should have given tickets away to the public like that. i mean some of the people were there dressed in jeans and a tee-shirt. don't people have any respect for the dead? some people were treating it as a concert and not a memorial service.
1. We knew Farrah was going to die so there isn't much coverage needed
why dont we need coverage about someones death just because we knew or suspected it will happen in the nearest future. is there know going to be a ranking how important a death is regarding the way of death and the popularity of a celebrity. we are talking about human beings here and no matter how succesful they were in there life, their lives are not worth any more or less then the life of every other person. i think its pretty sad that in our society you rank the value of a person by the popularity he had and the money he gained.
I think its pretty sad that in our society you rank the value of a person by the popularity he had and the money he gained
Popularity comes because of how many people knew you and loved you, you dont have to be a star to be missed in great numbers. If you become famous sure you will have people look at you and think they like you because of what you do. We need to face reality and know that our world is like that if your famous you are supposly better in a way when GOD made you like everyone else exepct that GOD gave you a that you shared with the world.
well least we knew Kirby is a MJ fan...if you pay attention to the media what they say then what I said is true. They said Billy Mays hit his head while landing at a airport and the following morning he never woke up...no coverage he had any heart problem. We didnt know Farrah was going to die...many people have lived with cancer for their entire lives Farrah could of been one of them. Pay attention I was saying MJ was a drug addict way before his death not that it was the cause of his death. If you believe what the media says then you either work for Fox News or MSNBC or your a redneck hillbilly living in a trailer park. We only know what the media tells us and at least 90% of the stories I hear dont get the full story. Why dont you go back to your MJ shrine you hide in your closet and do some voodoo crap to bring him back to life and make him perform Thriller for you. And like what Donpiet said...hes dead now no need to make it a global scale disaster.
