Here's the list of best and worst tourists. The French came in dead last. The top 10 tourists were: Japan, Britain, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Australia, Sweden, USA, Denmark.
I live in the US and I worked at a restaurant for a few months. The British seemed to be really nice, along with Indians and Arabs. There were a lot of Polish, Lithuanians, and Bosnians. Most of them were nice, but there were a few bad ones. I never dealt with a French tourist, but I have heard some horror stories with them.
So why is it that the French are the worst? Anyone ever deal with them?
Living 15 to 20 mins from the parks, I frequently go to hang out and people watch. I can tell the Brits a mile away by their fashion sense and continually remain irritated by the very rude Brazilian and French tourists.
The Brazilians are by far the absolute worst tourists in Central Florida and the French are just hated by everyone! I feel that they disrepect where they are and have no manners whatsoever.
The Brits and Germans are wonderful and the Scots and Irish are good drinkers. The Italians have a lot to learn and the Japanese are just wonderful.
If I had to vote to close our borders, I would allow all of the above into my country except the Brazilians and the French. Americans are very friendly but would be glad to forgo that courtesy if the South Americans showed up!
its very funny how tourist perception changes from country to country. ask anyone in europe about tourists and germans and brits will fight for number 1 unpopular. it even gets worse when you have both in one hotel
I'd say its cultural. A lot of European countries are like that, haughty, and a sense of superiority. Although they've been known to hate Americans, so what would you expect?
I know a few people who are flight attendants, I once asked them about the worst people they've ever encountered, It was USA demanding where their peanuts and soda were, they kept bothering her, slapping her butt when she walked by calling her names..etc.

yeah and americans are mostly very quiet people, who do not believe that their country or values are the best, and everyone else has to believe them too. when abroad they also behave like this

I live in the US and we usually get American, Korean and German tourists. I think the American tourists are the most annoying. They tend to drive 10 miles under the speed limit looking for a tourist trap, and are generally loud and obnoxious. The Koreans are pretty cool, just quietly ask for directions and are on their way with a "thank-you".

Wait, you live in the US? I'm surprised that it would surprise you how the American tourists act.
Every time I play Call of Duty and the game connects me with some British gamers, they start screaming at me and call me a "yank" all of the time. But on the other hand, half of my friends on PSN are from the U.K. That's pretty amazing that the Brits got first place.

It doesn't surprise me at all, I was just giving my two cents about American tourists, who apparently behave the same way in the US as they do overseas.
