We really need explicit labeling on games that have vulgar language, and extreme gore.
I was letting my nephew play on the site wo is 6 by the way when he spotted game named Oozing Forever. Seems like a fun game huh? Innocent and a great game for a child.
When the opening comes up it says Sh*t and other vulgar words. When I saw those I immediatley turned the screen off because he was trying to read it. It just came to mind that we need these labels on our games so we know what we are getting ourselves into when it comes to the content of the games.
Why are their vulgar words in games without warning when here on the forums we can't say words like that? It makes no sense but all I'm asking for is warning labels on the game like they do in the back of video games with the reason for the label.
Don't you people read the whole thread before posting?
There are people who play on the site who are not registered. They can be any age from 13 and under. They do not know it's a PG-13 site and they need to know what the games are so then they can't be driven away from the site.
@jbgarza2010: I know....but that's not the whole point of my post. Did you read it all the way through? I know that people play here that aren't registered. I clearly stated that although I approve of the Warning idea, people under 13 probably shouldn't play on this site in the first place because a lot of games have stuff inappropriate for young children. Some 13-year-olds even, aren't mature enough to handle some stuff, despite the Mods' and the Admins' efforts to filter non-PG-13 stuff out(you guys/gals do an awesome job btw, it's just that you can't catch everything)some stuff still gets through. What I said in my last post, basically was that I think warnings are a good idea, but that this is a site that young children shouldn't play at.
I know. But I clearly stated(again) that I think warnings are a good idea. I think that warnings are a good idea. I said it again. Because yeah, they won't know it's a PG-13 website, and some people might be offended by games here. But what I meant in my very first post here was directly relating to your situation. You took the child to armorgames.com, and you knew that it was a PG-13 website, you being a user and all.
...I'm not fighting this idea, JB. You know that right? I think labels are a good idea! I've said it 4 times now! I get that some people will be offended by our games. Before, I was relating directly to your opening post on the thread, which said that you(who knew that this was a PG-13 website)let a 6-year old play on it. In summation: I think labels are a good idea But users of AG should not let younger people play on it.
Oh I see. Yeah, this is actually a good idea...if you get really desperate you can post a link to this page on an Admin's page. But they check here, so you'll probably just have to wait a while.
i agree i did the same thing with my cuz *she is 10* and i let her play that same game Oozing Forever .... and just like you i thought it was a good game, but she read it and asked me what that word means
